I have been here many times over the last 10 years but not in the last 12 months. It was always a good choice not the very best but never a bad meal. However I tried it again last week and it was outstanding. They have bought the shop next door and expanded to make probably the largest lounge plus restaurant in town. We had a couple of drinks at the bar to find the bartender was actually an Englishman who had arrived in Sweden via New Zealand. Drinks selection is good but focused on bottle beer, spirits and cocktails nothing much in the way of draft beer.
Onto the food, the starters are based on tapas so we started with goat cheese wrapped in bacon and chorizo with garlic bread. All excellent. Mains were equally good I had chicken with pepper sauce and my colleague had the steak. Very good quality and generous portions. We were both pretty full afterwards so rather than desert we had a cocktail each.
Price wise it's not cheap even in Sweden. £160 for 2 people but it is exceptional! Give it a go in this town which seems to open a new upmarket restaurant each week. read more
