I still remember when it was a Polo Ralph Lauren outlet at one point. But for the last 10 years or so, it's now a bookstore with substantial backing by world-famous author Louise Penny, our home-grown version of Agatha Christie. The store is also a hub for the local literary scene with local writers' books prominently featured. Very upscale nouveau country, there's a Louise Penny corner and a map where reader-fans can pin where they come from in the world. The map is positively packed with pins from literally every corner in earth. Casual vibes, I was surprised that there was even an occult/new age section for books along with the usual sections for food, travel, politics, kids and young adults.

I think they do a great job with buying. On the few occasions I've had a specific (and obscure) book on my list that I haven't found, they've offered to order it for me. They've got a great little cafe as well. And the staff is really helpful and sweet. It is my go to place for gift certificates for teachers or folks that I need to get a gift for that I don't know well. This place is a gem! Definitely check it out.
