These folks formerly did business as the DeKalb clinic. And, whatever they call themselves, dealing…read morewith them was a horrible experience. Here's a little backstory. I am confined to a wheelchair, and I was in need of a wound care specialist. Doing a quick google search I was happy to see that they billed themselves as a "community of specialists." Better yet, they had a wound care specialist on staff. I called to make an appointment. I then asked if there would be people to assist me or if they had an accessible exam table. I was then told that they would not be able to accommodate me, and I would have to find services elsewhere. That's when I pointed out that the nearest wound care specialist was about 30 miles away, and that the ADA guaranteed me a right to seek services there. I was transferred to an administrator. . . The administrator informed me that they were not subject to the ADA because they were a "private facility." *ahem* This is the part where I should point out that I'm a lawyer. I informed her that I believed she was mistaken. And, I pointed out the relevant sections of the ADA that covered the situation. She then yelled at me and said the following, "Sir! I'm just as capable of googling as the next person." She told me that she'd need to check into this and that I should call back the next day. I called back the next day. The outgoing message on her voicemail indicated that she would be out of the office that day. . . I called the direct number to the office. I then asked the person that answered if there was any resolution. She then quickly stated, "Yes, we can't see you. You're just going to have to go to the emergency room or a hospital." Then she hung up. Eventually I got some help from a local advocacy group, and they called up. And, I was told that they could make an appointment. And, guess what I saw when I went to my appointment? An accessible/adjustable exam table that I could get on. I asked if they'd recently acquired it. They said: "no" and that they'd had it all along. Apparently when I called someone was too lazy to go and check to see what type of exam table they had. ******* A few months later I would find myself in need of a urologist. I really hoped that my previous dealings with the clinic would have straightened things out. NOPE! I was yelled at and met with obstacles all along the way. ****** Here's the deal folks. Unfortunately, if you're a resident of DeKalb, this is probably the only game in town. If you're able bodied, you probably won't run into any of these problems. But, ask yourselves if that's how they think about their patients. . . how much do they really care about you?

Trying to get proper care here has been a struggle every step of the way. The staff will argue with…read moreyou. The doctors will argue with you. I literally had to argue with staff members in order to get in to see a doctor. It seems like they dont want any more patients. I had to argue my case on why I need to be seen. I even got yelled at because i called to get a prescription refill, I had to argue my case as to why i needed my prescription refilled. Plus, if you dont immediately talk to a staff member, you'll wait days for a call back from their prescription refill line. If you're looking for an arguement and to be interrogated by staff, this is the place for you. If you argue your case well enough, you will eventually get in to see a doctor. As for the prescriptions I need-I have had to make a appointment at a facility outside of DeKalb. Honestly, its not worth the struggle. If you can find another care facility, go there.

Very compassionate, loving, caring and takes time and not rushing when seeing her patients. She is my doctor that I totally trust with my health and well being. Im teally stressed right now that I'm losing her but hope she will still take me when she comes back in practice. Good luck and God bless in your future endeavor. You are one of the best and hope they can clone you, She was recommended to me by a great specialist when I was looking for one 13 years ago and followed her from one hospital to another and it was all worth it!! My Medical Negligence lawsuit was dismissed in 2017 because of an error in my bankruptcy paperwork. I was in the ER on a Friday night and had to be squeezed unexpectedly into her Monday morning schedule. Unfortunately for me, I am permanently injured and declared disabled because of HER BAD DAY. I've had multiple surgeries on different areas of my body, in pain every day because of HER BAD DAY. This Doctor had to do the per-surgical clearances and she didn't even look me in the eye and apologize. She did show up at my deposition, though. My livelihood, my career of nearly 30 years is over because of HER BAD DAY. I have endured financial devastation, I lost my home and I am STILL spending $$ on medicinal/physical therapies because of HER BAD DAY. My life span is shortened. In retrospect, I wish I'd gotten a clue when on one of my personal appointments with this Doctor, she spent the majority of time telling me she was not going to refer anymore to the Non-For-Profit company I worked for, also in healthcare. She was ANGRY at one of my Supervisors. I am only speaking of my experiences, however, the other lawsuit(s)- public record. Yes, this Doctor can be nice, she will listen etc., just hope you don't have to be squeezed unexpectedly into her schedule on HER BAD DAY.
