Don't make any other plans if you plan to eat here because then tasting menu will take you at 4-5 hours and don't plan dinner if you come for lunch because you will explode.
To get here you have to go into the MAS museum and take the elevator up, where every table in the house as a great view of Antwerp. The music is curated to start chill with Jazz and get more eclectic and energetic as the meal progresses. The service is near flawless. There was a little bit of slowness between courses about half way through, but we were having a great time and didn't mind taking the time to digest and enjoy the view and music.
The tasting menu was good, but not every course was delicious and the desserts were quite forgettable. However there was a mussel course that blew our minds - I don't actually like mussels much and this as one of the best things I've ever eaten in any restaurant. The langoustine was also a show stopper. I don't usually think about the bread too much but the bread here was insane, the best brioche we've ever had. Hubby thought the wines worked with then food, good but not great.
Total damage $880 for two tastings and one wine pairing. If you wish to add tip, they can only take it in cash though, so come prepared.
I hemmed and hawed about whether I thought this was a 4 or 5 star review because not everything was super tasty, but the ones that were - WOW. In general if a restaurant can leave me withn lasting warm fuzzy memory, it was worth it. Definitely worthy of 3 Michelin Stars and 5 hours of your life. read more
