It didn't take long for our food to arrive and was hot and tasty. The staff are pleasant and attentive. It was ideal for my father as he has a disability and we needed to get the wheelchair from the car, located in the car park next door. As it is situated on the old railway line, there is a ramp at the end of the platform so it made access with the wheelchair easy

You can sit outside on the old platform and there is still some track in place if you appreciate the atmosphere that provides. (For Geochcahers there is a cache). There is an all day service on most days but be aware of a closing time of around 5 pm (check this out if necessary). Items fairly priced and the staff are friendly and welcoming and provide a good service.

The only thing I would say is that they didn't seem to offer anything coeliac-friendly in the cafe or the shop (no wheat or gluten), so they lose a star. But apart from that, a lovely cafe!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a real British tea time experience so after the last place we visited refused to serve us as they were closing at 4 (!) we decided to come here! I'd only walked past before and never been inside, so I didn't know what to expect. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 and there were a couple of tables free to sit down - this place is really small, I believe there were only 4 or 5 little tables in there! The staff are so sweet and friendly, happy to customise the food depending on your diet and preferences. For less than £10, we both shared thick delicious egg mayonnaise sandwiches on soft (possibly homemade) white bread, a couple of good sized scones with proper clotted cream and jam, an enormous slice of homemade chocolate button cake and two cups of tea! All beautifully served on a vintage style cake stand. It was the perfect amount of food to share and I feel it was good value for both the quantity and quality. The environment was very cosy and friendly, definitely somewhere I'd like to visit regularly, especially since the food was perfect! My boyfriend agreed it was a great pick and that he'd love to visit again - the sandwiches were his favourite, with the scones a close second. The menu changes depending on what's available fresh that day, so a good excuse to drop by again! I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this tea shop! They offer a wide variety of GLUTEN FREE options for both meals and baked goods. And everything (with or without gluten) was phenomenal! The staff/owners went above and beyond to accommodate my daughter to the point it brought a tear to my eye. They genuinely made us all feel very welcome and treated us as if we were valued family. The outdoor garden space is so peaceful and beautiful. A must stop for everyone!
