I was in Weymouth for my sister's wedding this past summer and she scheduled one meal at the Marlboro. I ate there 3 times over the course of 4 days. I tried to lose some weight to look good for the wedding; this place definitely didn't help that cause. For about £10 pounds, you get a reasonably sized filet(s) and a whole heap of chips. The batter is crisp, light, and perfectly seasoned. The pineapple fritters are an awesome dessert - kind of like a fried Oreo us muricans love with only half the guilt/remorse afterward. The chips are ok - again, mostly because I've been conditioned to want my fried potatoes to be crispy. I prefer the chips w/ the curry sauce poured over top. YUM! Of the types of fish I tried, I'd put cod - mackerel - haddock in order of preference. Salt and vinegar are available, but all other sauces are charged a nominal fee. You can eat in or takeaway - the eat in area is a bit congested, so may not be very comfortable if you have young children. The queue is formidable but it moves along rather quickly. Sitting by the Old Harbour bridge, eating fish and chips and drinking a Shandy Bass...lovely way to spend an afternoon--or three--in Weymouth.

Open air bar/restaurant with a really relaxed atmosphere. The Miller lite cans were only $1!!!! Can you believe that? $1 ???? Seriously, that's a bargain even if they were only 10oz cans! Anyway, the food was super delicious as we had the jerked wings and curried goat. 3 wings were super spicy and 3 were jerked. The super spicy wasn't too bad though the owner gave us an unlabeled bottle of hot sauce to kick it up and umm....that was hot(spicy) - and I love spicy food. The jerked wings were delicious and meaty. The curried goat was incredible - moist and fell off the bone. I wish we would have gotten another order. A special note to the owner - thanks for the trick Long Island iced tea. That was funny and thanks for a great time at your place. We'll be back!!!

Its a strange combination of pizza, pies and cider. You order at the bar ... as in any good old English pub. Behind the bar you can see all the different ciders and you can have a taster board with five different ciders. If you just want a pint, don't be afraid to ask for a taster before committing. I did not try the pies, but the pizzas are lovely and crisp and boast a few different ingredients like walnuts ant butternut squash. The staff is lovely and helpful and the place is buzzing for a reason. Great food and great cider.
