I could tell right away that the work was special, with particular care taken to craft pieces befitting of the time and patina of the coins. It was very hard to decide which piece to choose, and not being able to lay eyes on it felt risky, but the gallery was very responsive to my questions and sent detailed photos to allow me see more clearly, as well as helping me to find the right sizing. When the piece arrived it was even more beautiful in person - I actually gasped! The handiwork is so delicate and the gold is lustrous. What I also appreciate is that it is not heavy in the way you might expect a piece holding a coin. It is stunning on - it evokes so much history, beauty and intrigue.
