This family owned and operated restaurant surpassed our expectations. We walked in about an hour before close after having a really bad experience elsewhere and they welcomed us in with open arms. Seated us immediately and walked through the entire menu with us. We are from the states so some of the items were a bit different, but our server was patient, informative and an overall delight. He brought out the house wine which was excellent as we talked through what we wanted.
Before we could even finish our first glass of wine the shrimp croquettes showed up piping hot and so delicious. They were crunchy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. A MUST! We followed up our meal with stoemp (mashed potatoes with veggies), fresh fries, beef stew and the meatloaf with mustard sauce. You should be drooling now because it was everything! We nearly drank the sauce the beef was stewed in. They even wrapped our remaining food for, us as they insisted the stoemp was even better the next day. Did not dissappoint!
Thank you for making our last night in Europe a memorable one. I recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and comforting meal outside the hustle and bussle of the city. read more
