Please note I'm an experienced professional in a client facing role, and I can relate to the fact that some of the inquiries I receive can be unreasonable and challenging. At no point have I ever attacked any client like this. I had great previous experiences, just like others, getting a couple of screens fixed here before (one recently). Normal price and the guy was friendly, not much to it. This morning my screen had a crack on it and was separating from the phone itself. I had recently gotten my screen replaced there, I figured it might be warrantable. That said, I'm no expert, so I went in to show it to the guy. I showed him the damage, and before I could say anything he said "you dropped it, see that is how it broke, so don't even try this". It was a bit offensive, but there's clearly a bit of a language barrier so I brushed it off. Now, I truly did not drop the phone like he insisted, but of course that doesn't mean it didn't fall, or many other possibilities. I wasn't trying to trick him. I said something to the effect of "Maybe it fell and I just didn't see it, I was asking because it seemed like..." He interrupted me to show that given the way the glass cracked it had to be a fall/drop, maybe a key (at least I thought he said that). Despite his foul disposition, I was at the point where I was in agreement that it probably wasn't a warranty fix. I started to ask if he thought it could have been my keys.... Then he interrupted me again, mid-sentence to tell me that he has people "like me" come in all the time to lie to him, and again not even to try. I asked him if he was calling me a liar. He told me that he was and that he was a very honest person. I want to be clear that I was at no point strictly insisting he warranty it, because I didn't know. I was civil as most would be in this situation. I was just trying to tell him what I thought happened and why I thought it might be warranty. Quite frankly it's not that expensive to just pay him to fix it, and if he had insisted politely, that's exactly what I would have done. At this point I felt a need to explain at least that I wasn't lying to him, as it was certainly offensive and I felt he was simply being ignorant. I tried to explain to him a few times that I might be at fault here but it doesn't mean I'm lying. I was again interrupted each time to be called a liar. By about the third time, I got frustrated and started heading for the door as the discussion continued. Please note the conversation at been at a normal speaking level to this point, with only escalations coming from the employee of TT Wireless. I was making every effort to keep things civil. He was now yelling something to the effect that "It had obviously been dropped" I said something to the effect of "I don't know I'm not a glass expert, I'm not just not lying to you." At that point of frustration, his ignorance had driven me to use some bad language. He told me not to use bad language. Not feeling particularly inclined to take orders from this man, I replied with bad language and walked out. As the door closed behind me I heard him scream "_______ your mother!" I don't suggest TT Wireless. Great service, unless you have a question. I've never seen a store owner behave so defensively.
