Activation fees make sense. Signed up for the $78 per month plan with autopay. Otherwise, all went great until I got a bill notification on April 2, 2023 for a billing period of "Start Date - March 30, 2023" for $158.50. Odd - I didn't have Verizon in that time frame. Looked at the bill closer and find a $48 charge for a second line I didn't approve, as well as phone insurance I didn't even know about, much less agree to add. Called billing and was told the guy didn't even add the promo code for having brought my own phone. Let's break this down: 1. Added a second phone line I didn't need or approve. 2. Didn't add the promo HE told me about. 5. Somehow keyed in that I switched to Verizon prior to March 31st and set up a lovely $158 bill. He committed fraud, he lied and I am willing to bet they do this to everyone who walks in their doors. Just go to a Verizon Wireless store and stay away from the "Authorized Dealers".
