CDE Lightband - The payment line

    CDE Lightband

    (74 reviews)

Had CDE Lightband back when they were just starting out and their packages were around $2X.XX…read more After I went with them - never went back to Charter - and they have been amazing over the years and local moves. I remember when I came home from work one day and the speeds were subpar compared to what I used to - they saw something in their system and made a housecall at 7PM and made an adjustment to the device that was connected to my home. They didn't state wait until the next business day or give me a 'reboot your router' excuse. They also went above and beyond - by giving me own private IP since I was running my own server out of my home - free of charge. I don't think they offer this service, free of charge anymore though. The only thing they could have done better is when we was on the old plan paying $2X.XX for the internet - they could have reached out and told us they had better plans when those plans were deployed. That never happened - but oh well. Had subpar service and speeds when it comes to other fiber optic/internet service providers and other companies should take note. Moving - CDE Lightband has set the bar for me when it comes to internet access.

These people have no problem at all in leading you to believe that your former account is…read morecompletely paid off and transferred over to someone else in good standing. They are perfectly okay to go literally MONTHS on end without contacting you in any way or for whatsoever--no phone calls, no text messages, no emails, and no postal letters. They are cool in lying by omission by not contacting you and causing you to let your guard down, and think that everything is cool on their end. Then, one fine day, you get a surprise email from them, telling you that you still owe $289.17 on an account, and it was due and payable 3 weeks ago. Then, after you physically go into their office and pay the bill, they are perfectly okay to send you a threatening letter via postal mail. This postal mail can falsely accuse you of not having paid your (surprise) delinquent bill. Also, this harassing and threatening letter may well claim that they are planning on turning your name over to to a collection agency. Verbatim, their threat is as follows: "If the balance is not paid immediately, CDE Lightband will transfer the past due balance to your active account and is subject to termination immediately. If there is no active account, CDE Lightband will refer this debt to a collection agency, which could affect your credit rating." It is quite amazing, isn't it? They reserve the right to keep you completely in the dark for literally MONTHS on end with no communication whatsoever. Then, MIRACULOUSLY, they obtain the ability to send you both emails and postal mail, and they act as if it is a code red Federal state of emergency, and start threatening you. In a great ironic twist, at the bottom of their threat letter, they write the phrase, "Continuous Dedication to Excellence." Get it? CDE? What a blatant lie and a sick joke. It should say "Constant Deflection and Evasion."

I never received the promised payoff for my Verizon devices, resulting in a $900 balance being placed on my credit report. I have already contacted my attorney regarding this matter. Additionally, I am unable to exit this contract without being required to pay for the AT&T devices, which is unacceptable. This experience reflects extremely poor business practices, and AT&T should be held accountable.

Markie took the time to listen to what I needed and address my exact needs without trying to pressure me on something that I was not interested in. My time spent there was very well worth it and I now see why a Trusted name like Sam's Club welcomes and opens there's doors for T-Mobile to conduct business with there customers. As we all know at Sam's club you get the best deal for your hard earned Money so it was no Suprise after spending some Time with Markie why Sam's club has teamed up with T-Mobile hands down and reputation speaks for itself so if your current provider is not making you feel like anything more than $$, I suggest you go in to Sam's Club & allow Markie to invite you to be part of the T-Mobile Family. My office needed to switch phone companies as the one that had serviced us for years went from mediocre to horrid in a year, after they were bought out. We called Spectrum and were told they would have it installed quickly. They forwarded us the documents to get started on their installation, we signed to get our phones changed over. Our old company extended our service for a month and a half while Spectrum was doing their installation steps. Our previous company cut off the service after this and we were without phones, which is never a good thing for a medical office. We contacted Spectrum about their already 2-month installation time, and they claimed they were working on it. Our company was without phone service for 3+ weeks, and while technicians came in the building and installed equipment, the infrastructure to connect it was not in place. We contacted them daily for weeks and Spectrum told us it was being worked upon. Our owner decided to cancel the installation and we notified Spectrum. We contacted another company that installed and was working flawlessly in 3 days. Spectrum notified us the work was completed after we had told them to stop the installation. They now claim since we had signed a contract that we owe for the entire contracted service. Not just the equipment they installed in our building, but the installation complete and the services for 3 years. Over $8000.00 dollars we now have to pay for their lousy installation. Do not use them, they are thieves and charlatans in my opinion.
