Our girl at the popular Cassai gave us the 411 when we missed our window to eat Paella and…read moresuggested we come here. So, we made it a point to make a day out of it and head to the beach while in that area of town as well.
Colónia de Sant Jordi is one area we didn't get to experience during our first trip to the island 16 years ago- so it was interesting to see what makes this part of town tick or not tick for us. For one, everywhere you look, Colónia de Sant Jordi overflows with resort hotels. Second, the part of town where Cassai Beach House is located, is a lot quieter. In other words, not crowded whatsoever.
This beachfront restaurant in Colònia de Sant Jordi is the ultra popular and chic sibling to Cassai (flagship?) near where we're staying in Ses Salines. Since the beach is feet away, the style inside has coastal touches, high-end neutral and breezy accessories, pale woods and white wainscoting. Call me superficial, but I can't help loving a restaurant that gets me reaching for my phone camera when I walk by. Or in.
Service was fantastic from our girl Juliana here-she's friendly, attentive and plated our paella. Our seafood-only paella rocked. The flavor, the seasoning, the seafood and the thoroughly-cooked rice was phenomenal. I mean this is rich bitch lunch without sacrificing your wallet.
Period at the end.
