Now called Vagabond Village and open every day, they have smorgasbord buffets from Thursday thru Sunday. Their huge dining room can accommodate a pretty large crowd.
They have a full menu, and a kiddies section to serve the short people.
Antiques displayed throughout, they have a very nice display of egg scales from yesteryear. As well, check out the various cactus plants along the windows in the dining room.
I remember this location from 35 years ago when it was a thriving truck stop and a favorite rest stop for the many four-wheelers that traveled the highway out front. Sadly, when the US-24 roadway was moved south a little along with all the traffic, the truck stop couldn't survive. Luckily, this gem of a restaurant survives and serves some pretty good food. read more
