The employees go out of their way to help, and they do it with a smile. I've come in several times over the last couple months and every time I find what I need, there is always someone available if I need it, and the prices are reasonable. This particular store also has home decorating and appliance items as well as all kinds of tools, hardware, home repair and maintenance items, i'll kinds of special tools and equipment you can rent, yard and garden supplies. Yes, you can find all these at Home Depot, but coming here is almost like going to a friend's house. As long as Russell's is here I'll always check here first before heading anywhere else.

I reserved a lawn mower by placing a call to True Value and had no problems with the process. Andy was helpful and answered the few questions I had. Friendly, helpful people is the norm from the moment I walked into True Value. A four hour rental for the mower was around $35.00, return rinsed off, and with a tank of gas. My dad is retired and has the ability to spend time doing fun things, not yard work. If you're needing to rent equipment, do it here. Friendly from the start, and worth it if you're needing something to get a job done.

I'm usually a shopper that goes in with my mind made up to what I want and don't want to haggle with people. However, the whole time I was looking at and comparing equipment the one HD employee that was hanging out in the same aisle I was in did not even acknowledge me. He hung out in the area without even asking if I was looking for anything in particular, so not sure what his purpose is at HD. I had no problems finding what I wanted along with a few extra tools and the only employee that I encountered that actually had customer service skills was the young lady at the registers to assist people locating goods or checking out. *If you appreciate minimal customer service skills and just an acknowledgement of your presence there are other options in Del Rio, not many but they do exist.

The aisles are clearly marked and easy to navigate. The only issue we had was in the paint section, better lighting in this section would make it easier to shop for paint colors. We bought a quart of Rustoleum Sunrise Red enamel thinking it was the right color for exterior painting. To our disappointment it was too bright, and if we were able to get a better interpretation of the paint color we would've bought something else. Overall, McCoy's is a nice shopping experience if you're needing home improvement items. Better lighting in the paint section would be really helpful.
