It's always a treat to peruse this shop. June Taylor is in a VERY nice area, right smack in the heart of Downtown, Lakeland. Both times I've visited the owner and other staff member (maybe her Mom?) have been so kind and welcoming. This makes all the difference and honestly makes me come back to see what's new next time I'm in the area. Parking can be found nearby (in front of the Jimmy Johns). So, grab yourself an iced or hot latte from Black and Brew (nearby) and walk yourself to June Taylor, just as I did yesterday. You'll thank me later.

There was a giant old school Mickey that greeted me at the door. I immediately gravitated to a large stack of pancakes that serve as a dish cover. Realistic food props are always my favorite accessory to buy for a house. In the back of the store was a large section of items from theme parks. Not just inside the parks themselves, but also pieces from hotels. Like even the phones from the hotel rooms! You can find all sorts of stuff. If you are into spooky stuff and like Halloween, there was lots of props and signs from Halloween Horror Nights. It was nice to see real antiques. Sometimes you go to antique stores but there are lots of vendors inside that have faurly new stuff. Mostly it was antiques. I purchased a few things like the stack of pancakes cover and a silver serving tray. I thought both items were priced decent. Definitely visit here while in Lakeland.

I love an antique mall with its endless booths of really cool stuff but this may be the best…read moreantique mall of all. The Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland is part of the Wildwood Antique Mall chain. Wildwood Antique Mall claims to be one of the largest antique dealers in Florida. It was started in 2011, when 77-year-old Manny Pesco took his last $4,000 from his former auction business that had closed because of the 2008 recession and invested the money into the first Wildwood Antique Mall that took its name from the intersection it is located on. Other locations opened in Eustis, Vero Beach, and Titusville opened in the intervening years and the investment turned out to be a good one since all of the locations do around 5 million dollars annually. What makes this antique mall different from the other stores in the chain is the abundance of merchandise available from the theme parks. I found booths for both Universal and Disney items. The fun starts when you walk in the door and there is a carriage from Disney's Port Orleans resort out front and you are greeted by a velociraptor straight out of Universal Studios just inside the door. Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland has all of the typical booths of antiques you would expect to find but my favorite booths were the ones filled with Disney and Universal Studios merchandise. Recycling the Magic had a Splash Mountain log flume car, Vault Collectibles sells Disney and Universal studios props, and Melly's Remarket sells Disney art. My favorite booth was the Jurassic World Tribute store in the back of mall with a ton of Universal Studio items. They had an extensive horror collection and many other one of a kind items. I especially loved all of the Haunted Mansion items I found throughout the mall. If you are a theme park fan like me this is a must stop if you are in Lakeland. Prices for the real collectibles were more than I could afford but I found a Haunted Mansion Loungefly for only $25. There is something for everyone. Allow a few hours for a visit because this antique mall feels never ending. I could have easily spent all day here.

A third opened ad one register was usurped by a couple of women with about 15 items, which wasn't a bad thing; but the clerk was on Thorazine or something and moved like molasses.
