The Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland is part of the Wildwood Antique Mall chain. Wildwood Antique Mall claims to be one of the largest antique dealers in Florida. It was started in 2011, when 77-year-old Manny Pesco took his last $4,000 from his former auction business that had closed because of the 2008 recession and invested the money into the first Wildwood Antique Mall that took its name from the intersection it is located on. Other locations opened in Eustis, Vero Beach, and Titusville opened in the intervening years and the investment turned out to be a good one since all of the locations do around 5 million dollars annually. What makes this antique mall different from the other stores in the chain is the abundance of merchandise available from the theme parks. I found booths for both Universal and Disney items. The fun starts when you walk in the door and there is a carriage from Disney's Port Orleans resort out front and you are greeted by a velociraptor straight out of Universal Studios just inside the door. Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland has all of the typical booths of antiques you would expect to find but my favorite booths were the ones filled with Disney and Universal Studios merchandise. Recycling the Magic had a Splash Mountain log flume car, Vault Collectibles sells Disney and Universal studios props, and Melly's Remarket sells Disney art. My favorite booth was the Jurassic World Tribute store in the back of mall with a ton of Universal Studio items. They had an extensive horror collection and many other one of a kind items. I especially loved all of the Haunted Mansion items I found throughout the mall. If you are a theme park fan like me this is a must stop if you are in Lakeland. Prices for the real collectibles were more than I could afford but I found a Haunted Mansion Loungefly for only $25. There is something for everyone. Allow a few hours for a visit because this antique mall feels never ending. I could have easily spent all day here.

At first glance, parking looks completely stupid. It looks as though there are only two parking spots, frequently taken by the employees. This isn't actually the case, though. There's actually a shared lot to the south of the building; it's easy to miss so keep your eyes open! This is no ordinary thrift shop. They've got the coolest, most iconic goodies from eras past. Being an 80s kid, this little shop is packed full of delights I recognize from those days. Toys, old cameras, collectibles, footwear, memorabilia.... they've even managed to stuff an old VW Beetle inside. Rad. Oh and the vintage clothing! Good gravy, it's everywhere! It's perfect for us, as cosplayers. We've found so many pieces for our cosplays here that we couldn't find anywhere else at way better prices than ordering online. Love this shop! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very personable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Free parking right by the front entrance is another added benefit, especially since street parking in the area is metered during weekday business hours. I also noticed they have a large selection of comic books, which may be of interest if you enjoy collecting those as well. I usually go on Saturday during the Farmers Market and park just a block away. I purchased a Top Buttons reusable bag but you can bring your own, purchase one there or just carry out the clothes! The staff could not be more helpful, the store very clean. The more upscale clothing (think Ann Taylor Loft, Brooks Brothers, Gap, etc) are in the front and the rest of the clothing in the back where the four dressing rooms are located. They also have days where they send out text to say fill up a bag for $50 or 25-50% off all of your purchases, etc. All great deals! They also have stores in Bartow and Winter Haven.
