The Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland is part of the Wildwood Antique Mall chain. Wildwood Antique Mall claims to be one of the largest antique dealers in Florida. It was started in 2011, when 77-year-old Manny Pesco took his last $4,000 from his former auction business that had closed because of the 2008 recession and invested the money into the first Wildwood Antique Mall that took its name from the intersection it is located on. Other locations opened in Eustis, Vero Beach, and Titusville opened in the intervening years and the investment turned out to be a good one since all of the locations do around 5 million dollars annually. What makes this antique mall different from the other stores in the chain is the abundance of merchandise available from the theme parks. I found booths for both Universal and Disney items. The fun starts when you walk in the door and there is a carriage from Disney's Port Orleans resort out front and you are greeted by a velociraptor straight out of Universal Studios just inside the door. Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland has all of the typical booths of antiques you would expect to find but my favorite booths were the ones filled with Disney and Universal Studios merchandise. Recycling the Magic had a Splash Mountain log flume car, Vault Collectibles sells Disney and Universal studios props, and Melly's Remarket sells Disney art. My favorite booth was the Jurassic World Tribute store in the back of mall with a ton of Universal Studio items. They had an extensive horror collection and many other one of a kind items. I especially loved all of the Haunted Mansion items I found throughout the mall. If you are a theme park fan like me this is a must stop if you are in Lakeland. Prices for the real collectibles were more than I could afford but I found a Haunted Mansion Loungefly for only $25. There is something for everyone. Allow a few hours for a visit because this antique mall feels never ending. I could have easily spent all day here.

One of the reasons this place is so top bar is that most of the prices are quite reasonable. The tough thing about a majority of antique places is the prices reflect far beyond that the items are old and vintage, they're usually sky high and completely unaffordable for most people's incomes. Lloyds is not like this. The place is also crazy big. It's a 2-story house that's been refashioned to fit every kind of antique knick knack you could imagine. I could not believe the collection of things they have here. It's such a variety I truly believe you could come in here looking for anything and manage to find something. From clothing to furniture to glass and china sets to toys (hot wheels, dolls, etc) to old records to books to cameras and so much more. That small list doesn't even break the surface of what you can find here. It's like going on a treasure hunt and you don't know what you'll find but you're guaranteed to find where X marks the spot regardless. I also love supporting Lloyds because of the owners. A husband and wife duo who work very hard and are so friendly and funny I just want nothing but the best for them. Lloyds is truly a top tier antique place where you can walk away with a chest of treasures and not completely break your wallet!

(The vintage store next door shares that honor.) This may not be where you come to find higher end antiques, but there's definitely a great deal of vintage odds & ends here. There's even salvage. Hours are 11 AM to 5 PM-- FRIDAY THRU SUNDAY. Not only is there a small house filled w/ merchandise, but step outside under the carports to browse the large quantity of additional merchandise. What might you discover? Glassware, bakeware, & serving sets; toys & games; miscellaneous wall decor; furniture; lamps & lighting features; tools; clothing & shoes; costume jewelry; small appliances; vases; golf clubs; misc sporting goods; wood pens & cutting boards (both new); candles, homemade soaps, & rag dolls (all new), etc-- SEE ALL THE PICS Seriously LOW PRICES on everything, yet there were still many items discounted up to 50%. The female owner was very sweet & her Mexican hairless puppy was fascinating-- I couldn't resist snapping a picture:) Will we return when in the area again? Of course! My buddy was able to pick up a legitimate mid-century metal, butterfly wall sculpture for almost nothing. Although he's going to keep it for his home, now that it's been cleaned up & he's added three glass vintage votive candleholders, he could easily sell it & make a large profit on it. This vintage shoppe sits beside The Florida Farmhouse Market. DEFINITELY STOP IN should you enjoy anything vintage, along w/ savings! And do converse w/ the lovely owner. She was so gracious & appreciative of having her business added to Yelp.
