I absolutely LOVE coming to Asian supermarkets as there are always so many things to see. But beware, you may end up spending more time than you planned, as this is a smorgasbord of delicious offerings to satisfy your cravings. I dropped in to pick up some lunch items, and I guess it was too early at 10 a.m., so I had a chance to walk around and pick up some groceries while waiting for them to stock the hot table, dim sum counter and BBQ counter which I did not get a picture of this time. I am not sure if it's available at all T&T locations, but this one had a cold appetizer bar which included many of our favorites like marinated beef shank in Sichaun spices, Buddha's delight, marinated bamboo shoots,..etc. I'll definitely be back for the cold appetizer counter! I picked up some dim sum and a few items from the hot table when it was finally ready, and I must say, I was very impressed with the quality of their hot table. I'm a repeat customer of TNT Supermarket and really appreciate how much cleaner it is compared to some other Chinese supermarkets, especially for the smell from the seafood section. They offer a wide range of Asian products, mainly from China, which I enjoy, even though their prices might not always be the lowest. One area where there's room for improvement is their loyalty points reward system. While they do have one occasional promotion earlier this year where you can redeem points for discount vouchers, the limited availability means many customers miss out and it was quite disappointed. It would be great if they could offer these promotions more frequently or with higher quotas, as that would make the points much more valuable and rewarding for regular shoppers like me. read more

This T&T Supermarket can be found in the same large plaza as Yunshang Rice Noodle and Boston Pizza. My husband and I ended up coming here this afternoon, around 2:15 pm. Even on a weekday afternoon, this market was pretty busy. I was rather hungry and was hoping to find something to eat and take it back to our vacation rental to eat. But I just wanted a snack to tie me over since I have dinner plans with family in a few hours. We ended up deciding to get a crepe (jian bing). It was nice that there was someone at the crepe station (as I have been to a few other T&T locations and it was after hours of having one made fresh and another time there was no employee ready to make one, even though it was supposed to be during the time it should be available for purchase). Initially we wanted to get one made with sausage and another one just regular. But the employee didn't understand me and ended up giving an extra regular one that was sitting in the warmer that was made earlier (but that was made fresh since I saw this employee make an extra one for the customer in front of me but that customer didn't want to purchase another one). So anyway, we ended up getting two regular crepes and sausage crepe, which came out to $21.44 after tax. It was nice that we were able to see someone making our crepes fresh. The employee who made it for us did a beautiful job. My husband really liked his crepe and I was surprised that they used regular sausage for it. I just assumed it was going to be made with the Chinese sauce (lap cheong). I really liked my crepe. The crunchy deep fried cracker is my favorite. It gives the crepe a nice contrast of texture in every bite. It was pretty filling (and now I'm wondering if I should have shared a crepe with my husband because I may be on the full side for that family dinner later today). And now I have an extra one for tomorrow, which is funny because I was planning on stopping by T&T tomorrow morning for a fresh one for breakfast, but I guess now I don't have to and can reheat it in the oven. It was nice that there is a small seating area right next to the cash register in this food section. After I paid for these crepes, we sat down and ate them. But the girl who helped with our transaction told us we couldn't bring our cart in and said it to leave it right outside the seating area. My husband ended up returning the cart outside to get our dollar back because we were afraid someone would steal our cart and keep the dollar for themselves. After we ate our crepes, we ended up browsing and purchased a few grocery items. When we headed to the registers, I noticed that this location didn't have any self checkout registers. The food variety for ready to eat food is amazing. I feel like i am at the chinese take out and the whole menu is ready to just be sampled. Plus there is a counter just for soups, another for bbq meats, there are sandwiches if thats your thing. Plenty of baked goods. Unfortunately, I couldn't find alcohol, beer or wine. I am assuming i am forced to actually goto a liquor store. Lucky for me, i travel with a 6-pack of michelob, so i am ready to party. Came by for some groceries the other night and it was a quick and easy experience. Under the Loblaw parent company, T&T Supermarket is open until midnight and was clean, spacious, and bright. I got the uni special from tnt today amd made myself a poke bowl. The uni was so good just wish the box was double the size cause after splitting it in half there wasnt much left for me, myself and I.... 3.5 stars I am a fan of T&T and the various locations are fairly similar. There's sushi, hot prepared food, a large bakery section, seafood and meat and many aisles filled with snacks along with fruit and veggies. What I don't like about this one is the the parking situation. Once it gets to later in the day there's a lot of people vying for not that many spots. Perhaps it's because of covid but we found a spot quite quickly, which was a bit surprising. We had such a good experience with T&T's thanksgiving dinner that we decided to go again with their Christmas set dinner. Service: It was busy but everything was done on time. You book in advance the date and time. Food: Fruit/potato salad. This feels like it's those ziggy potato salads with extra chopped up fruit, shrimp on top and walnuts. If u like ziggy's potato salads with some fresh sweetness and shrimp, you'll enjoy this dish. Overall, I think the creamy potato salad works with the added sweet fruit and shrimp on top. Turkey with sticky rice stuffed inside. The turkey seems like it was semi smoked and semi baked. It had a slight sweetness which was interesting. It was super tender, fall off the bone but some pieces were in the drier side The sticky rice looks plain but it's got decent savory notes. Definitely enjoyed it as a side instead of stuffing. The sushi platter (we upgraded from just sashimi for a few $) was surprisingly good. The rice was a bit on the heavy side and probably harder than normal due to sitting in a fridge but the fish was fresh, the rice had good flavor and it was a significantly large platter. Finally, the hot dish of veges, deep fried tofu and chinese mushrooms was good. Cooked well without being over or under cooked, good flavor. Dessert was a pumpkin coconut mousse/jello. It was okay but didn't really have much flavor. Set meal comes with 2 sparkling juices. One of my favorite things about coming to Ontario, Canada from the US is stopping at the T&T supermarket for special snacks and flavors that we don't have at the Chinese supermarkets back home. I always find a lot and fill up a basket or two. They stock more items imported from china and their private label items are also very good. T&T is always so brightly lit, organized, and clean compared to a lot of other Chinese grocery stores. This T&T has a special place in my heart because it was the first T&T that I ever went to so many years ago. It's in a fairly large shopping complex with lots of other stores and restaurants. It's large and has a good prepared foods section. I love going in the evenings because they mark down a lot of their prepared foods, and I almost always have luck there with scoring some good eats for cheap. Their bakery section is also good and they have some stuff that I don't see at other T&T locations. I love this Asian grocery store. I've been going for years from before they were bought over by Loblaws, and not much has changed from what I can see. Long ago I used to go to the T&T at Middlefield and Steeles (rest in peace). Now my closest option is this location at Warden and Steeles which I swear is a little bit smaller on the inside and in the parking lot. No matter, it still has the same goods on the inside. When you enter it's super hard not to get lured into immediately buying the pre-packaged meals like sushi boxes and lunch kits. Then you have to walk by the hot food counters which have a lot of dim sum items that employees help you get. Across from there are buffet style counters where you can help yourself. Next you may wander into the bakery section. They actually seem to keep up with trends as I saw they had Korean pull-apart garlic bread which is pretty popular these days! I saw that most of the Chinese buns they have are individually packaged. They have also upped their cake game - I saw a really cute cross-eyed looking panda and a Hello Kitty in the display case. We mostly browsed for snacks and drinks with special packaging but didn't find anything too special this time. I was able to pick up a few grocery items that I needed. They carry mostly specialty Asian items but I did find the almond milk that I normally find at other places like Metro. read more

Convenience? Yes. Variety of groceries and food? Endless options. Tons of international - a lot of Taiwanese and Japanese items. Service? No. I'm a returning customer and it seems like it's recurring that almost every time, the cashiers there are extremely rude and impatient. As someone that was in a service industry, I don't think yelling and raising voice at a customer is acceptable under any circumstance, especially when we ask nicely for instructions. We wanted to return a milk bottle for a deposit refund and simply asked our cashier Helen for instructions. When we were trying to find the aisle number she had directed us to go to for our refund, we hear the lady immediately shouting: 'Why are you looking at the number! It's the lady beside us, RIGHT THERE'. It was honestly quite confusing and surprising, but I hope service can be drastically improved. read more

Love this place. Go almost every day. My go to foods are they $3.50 spicy Banh MI which I often buy a day old for $3.00. I've also gotten the Bolo pumpkin Danish with mochi from the bakery. My recent experience with T&T supermarket was getting a downhill. I felt that they were on the way of ruining their brand names. Their grocery was generally much pricier than other Chinese supermarkets like Foody Mart but with worse quality of veggies which could only last for a couple of days. They used to be distinct from other supermarket for its famous bakeries. However, recently I bought a box of wintermelon pastry. It tasted as terrible as the hell. This is when I picked out a cake from the cake fridge. I think someone ordered to made a cake, and I see that icing can be possible for wording too if you want the personalization. This T&T supermarket us the closest one by my home. Parking here requires a ton of patience. It gets busy, as there are a bunch of businesses in this area. I'd recommend going during off-peak hours. I simply park as far away from the supermarket and walk over stress-free. I love the variety of foods that you can get. I often buy potstickers and various meat-filled steamed buns, and eat them at home. For lunch, I like the beef and onion pancake rollups. The candy selection is incredible. We visited T&T supermarket during stage 2 of reopening toronto during the covid19 pandemic. There were many precautions in place to encourage social distancing and other safe practices. For instance only having pre made food in sealed containers, as opposed to everyone dishing out their food using common laddles. Most of the containers have just one type of food, with a few containers with multiple items (ie. 3 items in a container with rice at the bottom). My 3 item combo dish came with fried fish, braised beef, and stewed Chinese veggies, and on a bed of rice ($8.99). Quality of food is average, although the food is available right away. read more

I usually go to T&T in the morning for breakfast enroute to work. The grocery store has decent selections of dimsum (approx $2.99/plate). For every plate of dimsum, there is a complimentary bowl of congee or warm soy milk. The cake department is usually set up, and today i got myself a nice little fruit custard treat. It was nice and fresh. Because it is early in the morning, not all foods are out on display, so in that respect, i am limited. I have never been to Hong Kong before but from all those Television services (TVB), T&T Supermarket gave me a impression as if I was there. I have not seem anything like this in New York City. Not to mention that because Canada has a lot of different varieties of Asian products that we don't see in the United States. T&T also had soups and desserts which you can be a small cup ($2.99 CAD) or a large ($4.49 CAD) by the food bar. If you though Costco had a lot of samples then this place would of been heaven. There are SAMPLE stands all over the supermarket, too bad when I stop by I already had dim sum. The supermarket is so big, you can find almost anything here. They had a lot of skin care products here which is quite shocking to me. Sadly the Gummy Choco were put to a very cheap price but has passed the Best by date. Ever since they close down the Middlefield T&T (insert sad face), this Warden location has been our family's go to supermarket for most of our needs. It is definitely one of the busiest Chinese supermarket in Markham, and I really dislike coming here during busy rush hours = no parking! But besides that, this T&T is always well maintained and organized. The shelves are always full, and being stocked while I'm typing this! I don't do a lot of groceries, so I don't know if the veg/meat/seafood are up to par or not, but parent seems to like shopping there for ingredients to make our delicious home-cooked meals. What I do know is that I love going through the hot preps, cold preps, bakery, dim sum, and BBQ sections :) Very convenient and ready to go ^^ Two of my favourite must-have items would be the Vietnamese bun, and the Taiwanese stuffed sticky rice! I'm drooling just thinking about it. I think I'm gonna go grab some now ;) The Asian snacks are also worth going through! Really really disappointed with the service i got. I got a piece of flank steak and was a little suspicious when they said they only sold by 'each pack' when i opened it up, it was barely steak. I came here because I was craving their lunch boxes. Unfortunately I haven't been to this T&T location for a while and noticed now that you have to pay by weight ($1.29 per 100g) of food. Which was quite disappointing. Yes there is variety, but you definitely get less bang for your buck. They do not give you rice or noodles anymore as you have to buy a cup for $1.50. Definitely they cut the man power needed and line ups for the lunch and dinner rush and made it self serve. I believe T&T capitalizes and actually makes more money this way. I spent approximately $6 on a measly lunch that was 400g in weight. Was definitely not full after the meal. I definitely won't be coming back to this location when craving a lunch bento. read more

Ordered grocery delivery with them, they let me know 10 minutes before my stuff are on its way that 1/3 of my order is out of stock. Can't change or edit the order on such short notice. I had to choose their express delivery for 8$ as i have fresh produce, site says it comes with complimentry item for using express and even that "gift" was out of stock. A great supermarket overall! I love the great selection of hot counter items and the variety of Asian sauces they carry. I also really liked the selection of Korean Skincare at the beauty and skincare counter. Personally, I love Japanese Cheesecake, so I was so glad to find mini cakes in the ready made section for $1.89! Heads up, it gets suuuuper busy on the weekends. Parking is a bit stressful here too. I bought groceries from T&T on Sep 10, 2020, out of my $250 purchases I have roughly $80 worth of items have quality problem, but since I never thought this will happen with T&T, I didn't keep the receipt, I want to share my experience and want other customers void the hidden trick. The Fuji apples looks so amazing fresh, but they all black from inside, and you can smell the chemical presentation. I have been buying The low sugar moon cake assortment box for years for my friends who are diabetes, but this is the first time I tried them, the nutritional box about the sugar portion for sure us not right, they were sweet like hell, and the taste was horrible, it make you feel guilty even with only a very tiny bite, you will feel like swollen sugar and oil mixture of sticky stuff. read more

I feel bad taking away one star, but now that other T&T stores have popped up in Markham I have less reason to visit this store. The parking situation has certainly not been improved despite two other stores opening in the area. It's come to the point I have to be aggressive when looking for parking spaces (and I don't like doing that). These days I normally frequent the one at South Unionville, the underground parking feature there is convenient during inclement weather conditions. I've also noticed, aside from the seafood counter, some of the employees here are starting to be on the rude side. I hope they realize we have other options too and we don't have to visit this store all the time now. The only reason I still visit here is that it seems there's more variety of food. T&T Supermarket - International Grocery Near Me - Markham, Ontario

This is my go-to grocery store, but mostly because it's right by my work. I wouldn't trek out here for the express purpose of hitting this place. The produce is quite fresh and there is a good variety of Chinese and Western options. I love that the greens come already bagged so I can grab a bag of gai lan that keeps me for a few days. There's a big meat section with deals every day and a seafood section with live fish, lobsters, crab, and shellfish. On the other side is a huge section of ready made food, which makes it a great cheap lunch spot. The prices are pretty good compared to non-Asian grocery stores, but my parents think it's "expensive". Take that as you will. The parking lot CAN be a bit of a nightmare. Do yourself and everyone a favour and become an expert at backing in. IT'S JUST SAFER. read more
