I was skeptical as they are the only contractors Lumber Liquidators refers to but I can understand why they maintain that referral relationship: SW Contractors are top notch. Our job was an involved one as we were ripping out tile and carpet throughout our downstairs and putting down hardwood in the kitchen, living, two closets, hallway, bathroom and entryway. Steve came to the house and was able to give a detailed (and pretty competitive) quote right then and there. We had some tight scheduling issues as I wanted the rest of the family out of the house for the install. Laura, the business/office manager, worked with me to get our project scheduled on exactly the days I needed. The crew of three arrived and immediately got to work. By mid-morning, they already had ALL the demo done! Jose, William and Eduardo were fast and meticulous - even taking extra (unexpected) steps to minimize the mess (which, if you've ever removed tile, you know there is a LOT of mess!) They hauled away all of their waste when they were done, too and even kept their work area neat between project days- something I didn't expect but really appreciated. I LOVE my new floor. We went with the taller baseboards as Steve recommended and the finished product is gorgeous, contemporary and SO clean! Laura was even helpful in getting some questions answered for me after the install was finished and emphasized that they would be more than happy to come take a look at anything should I have any concerns.

They do a good job of setting expectations if you're dealing with stubborn stains, etc. as I had where someone spilled coffee on a light colored chair. But, they got enough of the stain out to make the chair and ottoman useable again. And, they will tell you if it's risky to try and clean a particular fabric and won't do it if a good outcome is not likely. I like that. Reasonable prices, too. Did some oriental rugs for us as well (picked up and returned to us for a small fee). I tried the franchised cleaners and won't do that again. Go local.

Dennis explained his process to clean, the timeline, and even what we should do after they leave our home to ensure we don't compromise the cleaning (they gave us booties for our shoes as well!). 2. The price for the exemplary service was right - even though it was roughly $20 more than the local chain-brand carpet cleaners, it was well-worth it. ACS provided exactly what I asked for them to do, on time, with professional and experienced staff. 3. They guarantee their work - and Dennis didn't just say "we guarantee our work" - he explained that occasionally there are some stains that reappear after a cleaning - if that should happen, he will come back out at no charge and clean the spot again. Three representatives of the company said (before we paid our hefty deposit) they'd have no problem working around our bathroom tile backsplash, and then their measurement guy said he'd only do our bathroom if we ripped out all the tile (of course, he said this after the company had our money). That sent us scrambling for another company, and we were so fortunate that we happened upon Nabas Rock Stone. They easily removed our cultured marble countertop (having only to break off small bits of the two corners that were tucked under the backsplash) and got the new countertop in without any damage to the tile or the mounted cabinet (that the "Granite and Tile" company told us we'd have to take down, thus risking wall damage). What really blew us away was the skilled craftsmanship of Chris and his crew. We have a large kitchen and a very neutral stone, so Chris fabricated our kitchen with only one seam in our countertop. His crew does beautiful work around tough elements of a home. Specific to us, they notched the stone around our chair rail in the kitchen so we didn't have to hire a woodworker to make it all look right (as we had been told by the other company that we'd need to do). Every place in our home where the stone met molding or tile was done perfectly. I don't have to hire a tile guy to do any work on my tile backsplash, a woodworker to do repairs, or a painter to fix wall damage. It just could not have gone better once we found the right stone fabricators. We were without sinks by the time Nabas came into our home, so they made us a priority and got everything (for three rooms) ordered, fabricated, and installed in a week. Their prices are comparable to companies that just can't or won't deliver a quality outcome. This is the best experience we have ever had with any contractor (and the longest review I've ever written because they are just that good)!

Paul and his team from Glenn Gate Construction. To say that the total experience from first interview to the project completion was outstanding, would be an understatement. Paul showed up on time for our initial meeting (this was not the case for most of the others), listened to what we wanted in our project, made recommendations we had not thought of and within a couple of days we had a plan and contract. Paul worked with us to stay within our budget and when we had a question, or wanted a change he was quick to respond. But what I liked the best is that he would react to the question/change with the pros and cons, not just "sure we can do that".
