But WOW his price was great too. I will definitely use him for any plumbing need.

The reason I am leaving this review though is for helping us with a real emergency last year. We had a sump pump failure around 8pm on a Wednesday night. We honestly didn't know who else to call as our whole basement was flooded. We called Jamie and he come out in no less than 15 minutes. The guy could have been asleep on his couch for all we know, but he didn't even bat an eye. He even brought a new sump pump to install incase we didn't have one. He helped my husband get all the water out of our basement and install the new sump pump. He eased my worries of having to file an insurance claim and my fear that it was worse damage than it was. After all this, I was prepared to pay upwards of $1000 but he charged us a very reasonable price and didn't throw any extra charges in for "emergency services" like some other companies would. We will never use another plumber again and will recommend Jamie and his company to anyone we know. Thanks again Jamie!!!

Dan was called to my new construction home to fix another plumber's mess. We had been living in…read moreour house for about 2 weeks trying to resolve the following plumbing punch-list items: lukewarm water throughout the house, uninstalled master shower fixtures, uninstalled pedestal sink, no running cold water in 1st floor bath, weak water pressure, hot water coming out of the cold faucet in master bathtub. Our first plumber arrived everyday around 2pm and left at 5 for almost 2 weeks and didn't resolve any of the above. We got so fed up, we had to call the builder to fire him and then bring in Dan at Westbrook Plumbing. Dan came on Monday with Mason, and diligently spent the whole day troubleshooting the lukewarm water issue. He finally found and fixed the problem at the end of the day after cutting open the sheetrock. We finally had hot water! Next day, Dan and Mason came back and completed everything else. Dan and Mason are super nice, professional, calm, diligent, and respectful of our house. I would call Dan back in a heartbeat with any plumbing related issues. Dan does more than plumbing so don't hesitate to reach out to him!

I called Chris Jones at 6 am and explained my issue. He said I would be better served by a heating tech rather than a plumber. He referred me to one that he works with frequently and facilitated the exchange of info. The impressive part is that he then called back 3 times to make sure we made contact and I was taken care of. He even said that if I was in a jam he would ask his dad if he could come out of retirement to help. This was the best customer service for someone that wasn't even a current customer. Jones Plumbing will be my call from now on for anything more than a kinked garden hose! Top shelf!

I called MacDonald and left a message. He called back within an hour and was at our house, which is some distance from his business, in less than an hour. He found the problem, which fortunately was only a bad pressure sensor that let the tank pressure exceed the 75 psi limit and the water was overflow when relief valve did it's thing. He replaced the bad sensor, fixing the problem. His fee was exceedingly reasonable. We are very pleased with the service for he responded quickly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it with no fuss. Not only that, he is an exceedingly pleasant person to deal with, cheerful, knowledgeable and very willing to explain what, why and alternatives. We have used his services off and on for the last decade or so, as he dealt with various plumbing problems that have arisen. At his suggestion, we modified our several outside faucets so that we didn't have to drain them each fall, our custom to prevent pipe freezing at the faucets for our winters are very cold, and the modification was inexpensive and works like a charm. I have noted that he works very well with my wife, explaining things, listening carefully and working with her to make changes that she needed. Frankly, we trust and value Mr MacDonald. He's the kind of service person that we really do like to work with. He is prompt, the quality of his work is excellent and his charges very reasonable. Harold Craig

Had these guys recommended to us to come unclog a kitchen drain. He asked to come early but still…read morearrived an hour late, started ripping apart the drain without a bucket to catch the water and then laying the nasty dirty pipes on our 6' long woven kitchen mat, rather than a blanket, a paper towel or even the tile floor. The snake did not work and actually got stuck for awhile but that's because the pipes were very bad & could not be unclogged as it was legitimately bad 70 yr old galvanized pipes completely corroded and blocked. So, after multiple methods & tries, I agreed that we needed to replace about 10' of old galvanized pipe with PVC and the basic older PVC drain components under the sink. Understandably, they could not come back until the following day since the scope of work had changed. The actual plumber (very nice guy, decent work, but VERY MESSY) scheduled his return for 8:30 the next day, and estimated 4 hrs of work for $1,100 + materials, tbd. As we were left without a kitchen sink, since he got us in for the next morning & was recommended by a friend and fellow plumber, I agreed to the high labor estimate, knowing it there was a chance that it could take more than 4 hrs and signed for the labor, while my wife spent 2 hrs that night cleaning our kitchen mat from drain grease. Next morning, I had to go to work so my wife took the day off. Midmorning, I'm getting texts from her asking for his number as no one had shown up and I had not heard anything. Again, over an hour late, but shows up and gets the job done in about 2.5 hrs. As he's leaving, he asks for almost $1,500. She says, ok, please just give me the break-down for the materials. He has to call the office, puts my wife on the phone with the brother who refuses to provide an itemized list of material costs. Plumber leaves, wife pays the agreed upon labor charge of $1,100 for 4 hrs that took 2.5, no questions asked. Wife says she will pay materials, even marked up materials, if she is given a breakdown (again, this was 10' of 2-1/2" PVC and a few fittings). Mind you, I'm an Executive Construction Project Manager for nearly 20 yrs. I receive an email with a list of random items, no prices, including boxes of rags, latex gloves, boxes of glue, etc. I tell wife to get a real breakdown before settling after already paying the inflated labor cost. My wife then receives a barrage of texts threatening escalation unless "agreed upon" material costs are not paid...but no materials were agreed upon and they refused to provide material details. I get out of work and start receiving the same texts...for hundreds of dollars of materials that they refuse to itemize. On top of that, the mess left was insane and I later found he left a 6" piece of old nasty piping in the wall that I had opened up for them, stinking up the bsmt, dripping old grease down the walls. Never again...talk about choosing their battles Talk about choosing your battles...and knowing when to stop arguing with customers.
