He is lacking analytical and logical skills who would rather keep his two horribly offensive delivery people, not to discipline them and possibly put himself into a much worse legal predicament later. Seemingly, it stems from the fact that he cannot replace them, lacking resources for more skilled staff. Or some other reason. The mechanical condition of the delivery truck should also be evaluated since the traction of wheels should not produce this kind spinning, possibly tires too bald, should be verified with state authorities as well. Everything starting with stuck getting stuck due to failure to just back out, unauthorized attempt to do U-turn, especially if you are lacking the skills to maneuver between the obstacles. What seemed to be no challenge for previous two trucks completing deliveries within the last day or two, personal vehicle and even a sport car, this fellow had an overblown issue. However, being stuck should not have risen to being an assholes or disrespect and insult the customer. It is part of doing business and ought to be treated as temporary issue. Thankfully, with my mechanical assistance and direction they were able to back out finally. What took place before and after should have been enough for the owner to fire these two people immediately. Specifically, the driver's assistant was blaming, belligerent and attempted assault by advancing on the customer. After a verbal push back and standing the ground, he backed off. Upon, the eventual departure the driver arose to yelling , throwing insults, and threatening. I explained to the owner of the Tribeca company that I have video surveillance and audio recording of complete interaction from many angles; I provided him with some copies to begin his inquiry. Even before speaking to these two, he seemed be on the path to justify the behavior of these two-ghetto style, tongue loose home boys by coming with various excusable scenarios and psychological nuances of hard work and travel. He called back a day later implying that he is not taking any disciplinary action nor is able to assure me if these "two idiots would not piss into my water next time". The fact that there was a physical threat, insults, microphone picking up these two calling my wife "cunt" for not stopping them when she opened the gate is not enough to take responsibility. He cancelled my account.

It was my first project of installing ceiling fans like this (Have installed ceiling fans before but never the wiring from the outlet) and I have to admit it all went pretty well. Because here it is late August ... hot as he__, .. well you know how hot it is, and guess what?!, my ceiling fans are working fine and the on the wall wiring looks professionally installed, albeit, perfectly fine. I'm having my apartment painted soon, in late September to have all the on the wall -- WIREMOLD-- colors blend in with the paint on the ceiling and walls. There were some hiccups on the invoice but they credited me appropriately when I pointed errors out to them. they corrected problems immediately. So all in all this is the place to go folks if you want professional service from professionals who have all the supplies you'll ever need for electrical type work.

They are essentially preying on customers who are unaware of their despicable tactics. I switched to them originally from a mailer solicitation, which promoted a more reasonable rate. After the initial period, the rate skyrocketed. Unfortunately, I did not notice or compare to see how high it actually was, which is my bad. Their rate was $0.1699/kWh vs $0.069 at Pepco, hard to imagine how they can get away with charging so much. Fortunately, I was able to cancel them quickly through Pepco vs. it taking a couple business cycles through NAP. I called today and found out they are charging me 17.99 cents per kilowatt and have been for almost 6 years, when RI energy charges 7.81 cents per kilowatt currently. What they do is they offer a slightly better rate than your current electric provider for the 1st year. Then after the 1 year contract expires they send you a renewal notice in the mail. If you fail to respond to their renewal notice (which they are banking on), they continue to service u and they gradually increase your rate over time so you do not notice it. I'm so upset I did not call in sooner and have been paying these scam artists well over double the rate that RI energy would have provided me. This company is such a scam. DONT DO WHAT I DID!

I've switched electric utility suppliers more than once using PAPowerSwitch.com and whenever I've…read morereceived a price quote, it's always been for my out-the-door, bottom-line monthly price. So when I saw Astral Energy advertising their Ultimate Power Plan™, described as "Unlimited Electricity For A Flat Monthly Rate," and requested a quote, and received one, I gathered based on my personal experience--as well as their repeated, verbatim promise that I'd "pay a fixed monthly rate, and no hidden costs"--that they meant what they said. Silly me. Turns out, with Astral Energy, one low fixed rate refers to the "supplier side" of the bill only, and that "no hidden costs" means "lots of hidden costs, just not discussed on your price quote but buried in the Terms & Conditions." And if you agree to those Terms & Conditions, like I did? Neener neener neener; it doesn't matter what we said before in our advertising or on your price quote. You agreed to those T&Cs. Pony up, consumer! Net net, switching to this "flat-rate, no-hidden-costs" supplier resulted in my budget billing actually GOING UP. Needless to say, I canceled my contract as soon as I discovered this business practice. While Astral Energy was good enough to waive my Early Termination Fee, they refused to reimburse me for the difference in the increase. It's beyond misleading; it's just blatant, false advertising. I attempted to resolve the issue with two different Astral Energy customer service representatives, Charles and Elizabeth, and when that didn't work, via the informal complaint process with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. I intend to keep my complaint open in appeals, and encourage anyone who's had similar experiences to pursue the same path. PA residents, we should not allow predatory suppliers to exploit the deregulation of our public utilities. You can submit your complaint and documentation at https://www.puc.state.pa.us/consumer_info/transportation/motor_carrier/limos_taxis_movers/taxi_complaint_form.aspx.

There is one important lesson everyone should learn in life: Almost nothing in life is absolutely…read morefree. If it sounds too good to be true...it isn't. I was kind of dumbstruck this month when I saw my Mom's electric bill. We have solar energy. JCP&L is just a secondary company to us in case we go over our usage. However, to date, we generate a lot more electricity than we actually use and never get a charge from JCP&L. So, when I saw a nearly $30 charge on our JCP&L bill I was kind of frantic. I called JCP&L and they couldn't figure the charge out. They then told me that we had some kind of relationship with another company called Astral Energy. I contact Astral Energy and the representative I talked to really couldn't explain the charge. She was kind of fumbling as to what it really was other than to say it was some kind of excess charge that we received credit for but shouldn't have. So, I immediately canceled my account with Astral. Our home is flooded with spam calls from these third-party companies who promise savings on your electric bill. More than once my Mother has gotten conned into signing on with these companies. She doesn't know any better. I have had to make many phone calls to cancel these relationships and then have to scold Mom and tell her not to talk to these people who offer savings on electricity. I mean, why a company who is aware we are contracted with a solar provider would promise us savings is beyond me. We generate our own electricity. We don't get electric bills. And this is how I feel we were absolutely conned. You don't get something for nothing. In the end, this company somehow charged us $30 for *something* that they couldn't even properly explain to me on the phone. I suspect they weren't making money off of our deal and they somehow snuck that charge in. I get to read other reviews posted across the Internet and it seems that many others feel like they have been "had" by this company. Again, nobody can offer you savings on your electric without a way to make money. It's like the discount deals you get with the cable company. In the end, they are going to jack up the price at the end of the relationship and if you are not on top of it you have to pay. Please just stick with JCP&L and don't get involved with these companies that promise you savings. Eventually, you'll end up like me paying a $30 bill that the company can't even explain.

I moved to a Brooklyn apartment and wanted (silly me!) to have the electricity turned on the same day. So I called Con Ed and asked them to turn it on on the 15th. "OK," they said, "The guy will be there sometime between 8 AM and 4 PM." But that's the day I'm moving in, so I probably won't be there that early, can we arrange a timeframe that's maybe not starting at 8 AM? no, of course not, that would be convenient. "They will call you when they're there," the guy on the phone said. Can they maybe call *before* they get there so at least I have some warning? Don't be silly, that would make sense from a customer service point of view. (and yes, I did actually ask both of those questions, and he said no for both) Of course, they showed up at 9 AM and I wasn't there. I had to reschedule for the next day, and the next day (when I was hoping to get it over with as soon as possible, and move on to doing other move-related things) the guy showed up right around 3 PM. And all he needed to do was remove a piece of plastic from the meter, which was outside, so really, what did they need me there for? (and they knew it was outside, the lady on the phone the second time I called told me that.) The guy who actually did the work was nice and professional, so he gains them a star back.

According to my neighbors, the failure resulted in a power surge that entered my apartment, causing significant damage to several essential appliances and an expensive floor lamp. A Con Edison representative came to my apartment while I was in Florida. The surge caused the following damage: * My server/computer equipment * Washing machine * Stove (rendering me unable to cook meals) * Microwave * Several GFI outlets As a 64-year-old grandmother on Social Security Disability with custody of my 3-year-old granddaughter, this loss has placed me in an extremely difficult position. I am unable to afford to replace these appliances on my own. At the very least, I urgently need my stove replaced so I can prepare meals for my household. I requested that Con Edison send a representative (or claims adjuster) to evaluate the damage as soon as possible, and that my claim be reviewed for reimbursement or replacement of the affected appliances. I provided them with the requested photos of all affected appliances, estimates, and proof of payment for the appliance repair service call. Con Edison denied my claim. It is, of course, easy to deny responsibility by citing generalized service terms. However, my claim was not based on a mere inconvenience or routine outage. It was based on a documented service interruption that caused measurable and foreseeable losses, the details of which were provided with my original submission and were not addressed in their response. I contacted the New York State Public Service Commission for further evaluation and they, too, were useless!
