It was a 2 week wait at the Apple Store, so I found this place online and took my laptop in. I had only had my MacBook for 7 months, and had purchased the 3 year extended warranty, so expected it to be straightforwards. It has a few little scratches on the outside and a very very small dent on one of the corners. I was informed that if this meant it wasn't under warranty according to Apple's standards they would charge me full price, but that they thought it would be okay. A week or so later (I can't remember exactly how long) I received a call to say the whole display had to be replaced and it wasn't under warranty so would cost me upwards of £600. This would take time, so I decided to wait until I was back in London and get it fixed there. When I picked my laptop up, I was charged £30 for their services (which would have been 100% free if it was in warranty). I then took it to the Apple Store in Covent Garden, where they told me it definitely was within my 1 year free warranty, and they would do the whole repair FREE OF CHARGE. I had been warned against going to Farpoint by several people before I went, but didn't listen as I was desperate. I was without a laptop for an entire month, and the whole situation ended up costing me an unnecessary £30, which for a student just after Christmas is a lot of money. I'm just glad I didn't make the decision to spend my rent money on the repair, and waited for a second opinion. I would never go here again, in my opinion it is very deserving of it's nickname 'NoPoint'.

I had to wait over 5 minutes for the customer ahead of me, which may be unavoidable, but then you hope there'd be an acknowledgement of your wait; nothing, in fact, he didn't even say hello. I handed over the charger I'd found myself and asked if that was the only type they sold, which he confirmed but didn't give me any feedback on it or try to sell it to me. I commented that I'd sent a message through their website the previous day but not had any response, and he just said it had probably gone into Spam. No apology and I felt I was inconveniencing him! As I left, I thanked him but received no response. In a word, disappointing.
