Second, Jay always makes sure to have a clear beginning (clean up!) and end (go team) which is great for my toddler to understand when she has to start focusing and listening to coach and he always goes a little longer so you get about a full hour. My little one uses this time to interact with other kids and we are only in our second class and she already throws, kicks, and runs at home now. It takes all the kids a few classes to warm up but coach Jay is really patient and knows everyone's name.

The female locker room is dated but very clean, and there is a changing and shower room as well. A little-known fact: there's a clay court tucked behind the building that feels especially private. Most importantly, the staff--from the manager/owner, Vinkey (and her adorable dog, Lucky), to the front desk attendants--are all incredibly accommodating. Need a match but don't know anyone? They've got you covered with affordable doubles match sign-ups. I don't play anywhere else nearly as much as I do here--especially outside of the summer season.

There is no annual dues which is awesome and they have an online platform for members to book their courts as long as it's not the day of booking. The owners of this clubs are very nice people and are always responsive to those that attend the club. This club has a large parking lot, so you don't have to worry about finding a parking spot. The locker rooms are clean. They have clinics for people of all levels and leagues on the weekend. It's in the same complex as the town owned buildings. There is a baseball/softball field, basketball court, multi-purpose field, pickleball court, and playground. The facility was very nicely maintained. It's a great spot for recreational activities. We were there for the playground and the kids loved it. The playground is not fenced it but it's in good shape. I liked the bench built around a huge tree right in the middle of the playground. Overall, a good spot for the townspeople!

East Side Music Together with Jen Romanat are an absolute treat each week! The classes are offered…read morefor children ages 0-5 years old, are $175 per session, and the sessions last for 9 weeks - each week is a 45 minute lesson. Parents, grandparents, nannies and babysitters join the children during the class, which is incredibly fun filled and well paced. Jen often offers one class a week for babies 9 look months and younger, which is a great way for new parents to meet one another. We have gone to several sessions of East Side Music Together, and I couldn't rave more about the class if I tried! Jen is an engaging and kind teacher. Her classes are done at a fun pace, she sings with the children, let's them play age appropriate instruments, and also incorporates movement in some of the activities. Included in the fee is a music book and two cds with all of the songs that are covered in the class. This way to you and your child can have a new repertoire of songs to listen to at home or in the car. One of the greatest parts about music together is that the sessions cycle through 9 different lessons. That means if you do the winter session and decide to do the eary spring session - that the spring session will be all new music! The music is age appropriate, and great for new parents who want to know some new songs to sing to their little ones rather than just your average "twinkle twinkle little star." My son's face lit up each time we went to a class, and I can't wait to start taking him with his baby sister later this year.

The park is the home of the North End-Wanskuck Little League. It is also used as a recess area for Esek Hopkins Middle School. A fitness area was added in 2019, making this a very active life, athletic focused park. We have come here to see friend's kids play ball and also just to walk around the green space.
