He set up a date/time for the 9 old, fully grown cedar trees to be removed and showed up on time & ready to go. Well, they just finished and did a SPECTACULAR JOB and even cleaned up the entire section of yard as an added bonus. All the workers were dressed properly and were VERY NICE & RESPECTFUL. At the last minute an existing fence that was promised to be removed was not removed. Also promised was support poles 8 feet on center, we got 10 feet on center. Several other issues such as loose bolts and sloppy workmanship were all excused under the "unavoidable interruptions" clause in the contract. The building inspector said it was a shabby job and I should think about challenging it but when I showed him the contract he agreed that I'm was stuck with it. Lesson learned here, get everything you agreed on written on the drawing of the plan and have an out clause if they delay a lot.
