It took him a lot of extra time and effort to retro fit my old system and he did it perfectly and at a very reasonable cost. He saved me a LOT of money and my updated system is working perfectly. He made an extra effort for me knowing my budget was tight and he had to do all the work in our recent major heatwave! I can't saY enough about this guy and his co-workers! Clearly I highly recommend Presidential!!!

His prices were amazingly reasonable and he was very informative regarding the product as well as the rebates that were available to me. There were other companies that were available to do the project but he saved me thousands of dollars I cannot say anything bad against this guy because he really did his job the right way

We needed work done and were having trouble getting anyone to show up. Dan and Howard were the only…read moreelectricians who actually came to quote the job and had availability nearly immediately. They're genuinely decent guys and like what they do. They may not be for everyone but that's fine. They're really not the cheapest option but they did the work in a time frame that made sense for me. I can never get electricians to follow through on their quotes so this was huge to me. We didn't want to spend weeks coordinating and appreciated they could fit our job in in under 2 weeks. My only complaint is that they put Home Whiz stickers everywhere they went... on my electrical box and heating system. When you're paying for a job in the $$$$ range, a little bit of tact is appreciated. You obviously got my business... don't push it.

I have a new experience with Howard Oven! I got another letter from the same attorney with…read morethreatening language asking me to contact him. He assured me in the letter that he really was an attorney. Do real attorneys have to do that? He also asked me to call him. Funny, last time I called his number, someone who sounded exactly like Howard Oven picked up. Sadly, I know Howard's voice very well because of all the harassing phone calls he made to me. If you read "not recommended" reviews here or on his "H.O. Services" profile, you will see that this is his normal m.o. What Howard does not seem to have grasped is that if you do not want bad reviews, you should not treat your customers badly. He also seems unaware of the fact that there is nothing wrong in writing bad things about a company if those things are true.

My previous hvac contractor was bought by a larger company, who then tried to convince me that my…read morefurnace and heat pump required immediate replacement. Called Demelo for a second opinion, and they came the next day. Good experience overall and saved me from getting scammed.

We were a long time customer of Demelo Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. Over the years we have…read moreused them for drainage issues, plumbing repair and hot water heater maintenance and until recently delivered a reasonable service. On our request, Demelo came to our house on June 7 to clear a clogged kitchen drain. The technician worked on it and declared the problem fixed. We were charged $230. About a week later the drain was clogged again. On June 17 Demelo returned to clear the same clogged drain. A different technician "fixed it" and charged us another $370. In a weak moment I paid. So after paying $600 and one more week, the drain was clogged again for the 3rd time. On June 28, we called Ari's ProDrain Cleaning to clear the same clogged drain that none of the Demelo technicians were able clear. Ari charged us $250 and gave a 30 day warranty. The drain is working well now. I contacted Demelo several times to complain and I requested a $300 refund (should be all $600). After several calls the Demelo business person told me that the owner can only authorize a $60 credit on THE NEXT SERVICE. Demelo does not provide a warranty on their work even though their website states under plumbing services: "Demelo Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is there to fix those problems, making sure your day-to-day routines, whether at work or home, continue unabated. Need an installation or repair? Call us. We'll have one of our team members out to appraise the situation and get you up and running, leaving you with the confidence of knowing the job was done properly." In other words empty words. The charge time and materials whether they fix the problem or not. Clearly a company to avoid.

We ended up replacing the washer, or else we would have used them for the repair. The only criticism I have is, when he was finished with the call, he was walking towards the door, I followed him asking for an update (I had been in the other room when he was working), he mumbled something about parts and practically ran out the door, and sat in the driveway for 30 minutes. I'm not upset, just thought it was weird and I was a little confused as he didn't explain the issue or give me next steps. But overall, I was happy with the service and would use them again!

The system works very well-- the house is warm, and it's reduced our energy usage by about 40%. (Our old boiler was inefficient and the radiators weren't zoned.) Before the installation, I talked over the design with the Heatech folks (I'm a mechanical engineer), and they were reasonable in dealing with my concerns and if they were bothered by my detailed questions, they didn't show it. They clearly know what they're doing, and the plumbing work they did was beautiful. The guy who recommended them to me said that they "did what they said they would do, pretty much when they said they would." That turned out to be accurate-- they cashed my deposit check in September, but the installation didn't happen until November. That was my only disappointment. Pricewise, big stuff like boilers and water tanks is always more expensive than you'd like it to be, but given the amount of time they spent, and the cost of the hardware, I think I got a reasonable deal. I'd definitely hire them again, but I'd be more clear about when the installation was going to happen before I gave them a deposit.
