I went to this branch to withdraw the funds so I could go down the street and deposit good old cash into my account at a different bank. After standing in line for 5 minutes, a nice young lady greeted me and apologized for the wait. I told her that I wanted to cash the check and I handed her 2 forms of ID. While she was taking my stuff, she asked me if I had an account with Wells Fargo, I told her no, but I do have my mortgage with them. She proceeded with a sales pitch on why having an account with them would be great, which I told her I wasn't interested. THEN...she tells me that it is going to cost me $7.50 to get my cash. WHAT? THEN....she says she can't waive the fees. By this time I was into this whole mess and it was too late to take my check and walk out of there. RIDICULOUS! Since when do banks charge someone to get their hard earned money??? I would agree with this companies LOGO on the wall... they are courteous...as they steal your money in front of you!

When I went in the lender was out of the office but we called him and he took the time to really listen, ask questions and understand what I needed. He really walked me through the process and communicated very well. He had said it would take about 45 days from start to finish, including survey and appraisal, but it was done in 30 days. I cannot recommend enough CTB if you need a commercial loan!

The teller counters are not your typical type that you see in all banks. Theirs were unique and it reminded me of the Alaska Airline counters in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. It made me feel comfortable and a little bit more intimate. I've come to this location for several bank transactions. My family and I came by yesterday, 12/27/24 approximately 25 minutes prior to closing. Our business was to open two youth savings account for my niece and nephew. I gifted them $50 each to save for their future. This was to teach them the value of saving money and to learn how to make deposit transactions with a nice teller who was patient. Agent, Millicent was nice and helpful with assisting us with opening their accounts which was done seamlessly. My niece and nephew made their deposits and we went our merry way.

Cut to a month later when I got my first Credit Union statement in the mail. It all seemed fine until I saw that they charged me about $5 in my Checking Account. Now, when I opened the accounts, I asked what the minimum balance was to open it. I was told $25. Of course, I called Kinetic to find out what the fee was about, because it was labeled "Miscellaneous". After being transferred about three or four times, I spoke to a representative that told me, Kinetic charges a $4.95 fee every month for any checking account below $3000. I couldn't believe this. I was totally amazed. First that I was being a charged a fee for having more than he minimum balance, of $25. Secondly for having to have a minimum of $3000 to not have a fee charge at all. This is supposed to be a Credit Union for local people who are just starting out in the Columbus. Or where this is their first checking or savings account. Who puts $3000 into their first banking account? Plus, if that is the case, shouldn't that information be told to patrons, or at least on the paperwork.

At this point I just want to close my accounts, and they are making it impossible. I banked with Suntrust for 25 years and never had a problem. Less than a month into the new merged bank and I've already moved to another bank. For starters, they didn't send the new debit cards after the merger, then refused to send both of the cards. They have made it impossible to close my accounts. Wait times on hold start at 20 minutes and go up from there. I spent 2 hours on the phone with them one day. Most of that time was on hold. I just want my accounts closed. Good job Trusit, you lost a customer who had been with Suntrust for a quarter of a century in less than a month.
