They guided me through the challenging city variance approval process--no easy task since the structure was close to both the property line and my existing house. They provided professional architectural drawings and, to my surprise, offered the best price by far--half the cost of my initial $100K quote. Better-Bilt Buildings uses top-quality materials, and every crew that worked on the project was outstanding. Their communication was excellent, they were always punctual, and the entire process was impressively smooth. Josh and Ashley are incredibly knowledgeable--if you think something can't be done, chances are they've already done it, and done it with precision. In my case, they ensured the new garage was a seamless match to the existing house, both in style and materials--it looks like it was always there. They're quick, too! Despite weather delays, the entire project--from a muddy lot to a finished slab, building, electrical work, and surrounding concrete walkways--was completed in just two months. If you choose any other contractor, I can almost guarantee you'll pay more, get lower quality, and wait much longer. Better-Bilt delivers A+++ service, and for once, it was a pleasure spending money. Thank you, Better-Bilt!

Shane who runs the warehouse made it right- he immediately reordered our tile and adjusted our pricing to alleviate some of the unfortunate issues we had been dealing with. Review: We came here based off a recommendation to choose tile for an entire home renovation where we were using ceramic tile throughout plus more. Admittedly the selection is outstanding but that's where it stops... Salesperson was helpful only after being told we needed to come back at a set appointment to discuss options. A few visits later we finally were able to place the order. Keep in mind they do not visit site or provide any assistance in measuring. So, even after providing correct numbers salesperson called a few more times to ask for numbers again and at one point admitted to having misplaced them. And same salesperson continued having to consult with manager before moving forward... The whole process of just ordering was more complicated than expected, invoices so hard to read that we all had to ask for clarification, lunches being ate at desks while we waited for assistance, paying half up front ($7000+) and before even picking up the tile asked for full payment ($7000+ more) before my Construction supervisor could leave with a few items and finally after trusting the correct amount of underlay material was ordered after giving total square footage of home and then finding out we needed several more rolls because not enough was ordered costing us a few more thousand dollars .... As you can imagine this hurts our budget for house flooring at this point. We pulled up the flooring, replaced and carpeted another area -- all in, I was shocked how little extra it cost to redo the flooring completely! We will reuse the original flooring elsewhere to boot! it looks gorgeous! We had a slight issue with the cuts from the drain tile, and the next day, it was fixed. When we did our final walk through, we noticed some minor cosmetic problems and quite a few other…read moreproblems which were added to a repair list. Most noticeable was that it looked like a child had painted the entire house. There were drips, runs, and smears in every room along with paint on the floors and cabinets. As for our list, well, if it couldn't be fixed using caulking, it didn't get fixed. The real problems started just a month after moving in which is also when we started noticing all the poor quality of work. Windows which no longer open, cabinet doors that fall off in your hand, roof leaks which have continued to leak despite their attempt at repairs, cracked wood which had been thickly painted over in an attempt to hide, every door in the house makes a noise, floorboards which are lifting already... I could go on. Although we love our floor plan and location, in the year we've lived here, we've come to regret buying this house and will never buy from this builder again. Especially since WE are now in the process of having our house, which we share with our baby, tested for black mold.

I called her and she apologized profusely, stating she was off but would get me my estimates the next day. NOTHING! Texts and calls went unanswered. You'd think with her being related and her be a "DeBeer" she would do her best to represent the company and at the very minimum, respond to a customer. However, upon reading reviews, I see this is a pattern with not just her, but this company. If they are too busy or don't want someone's business then at least have the decency to not allow me to look at granite and waste my time. I am on a schedule and doing many upgrades to our new home and Heleen has shown her unprofessionalism and lack of regard for her customers. Maybe this company needs to have someone that just follows up with customers to make sure they are being helped and quotes that they are promised are being delivered. I wouldn't recommend DeBeers to anyone. If they lack customer service while trying to get quotes, can you imagine their lack of follow up if there is a problem with the install?! And
