I told him I was struggling and asked if he thought I should get an actual tutor through PowerScore, he insisted that I probably didn't need one and he offered to tutor me. Too bad he never showed up to show up for any of the times we scheduled. Before I knew it, it was time to take the LSAT. Jon urged us all to contact him AFTER we took the LSAT, which I did. He said he would try and go over the test materials with me, and 3 emails asking for help later, he never did. I could have used the $1400 for my class to get a real tutor, not have my time wasted as I was seeking help and wasn't given any. I'm so incredibly disappointed.

Powerscore is extremely unreliable…read more I enrolled in a full-length in person LSAT course last year and planned my entire Fall semester college schedule so I could take it. Powerscore then called to inform me four days before the start of the class that it was cancelled. They withheld my refund until I shipped back their course materials, and offered no discount or voucher for my inconvenience. I was left with a less-than-ideal college schedule and couldn't take certain classes I would've taken otherwise, as I wasn't given adequate notice of the Powerscore class cancellation. I thought this may be a one-time mistake and gave Powerscore another chance (big mistake). I enrolled in one of their weekend-long accelerated courses and was just informed that it was cancelled again, five days before the class was due to start. Luckily I hadn't made such a big commitment as I had prior, and I am lucky I didn't plan my entire semester around a full-length course that would likely be cancelled again. It's very disappointing, as I have heard great things about their LSAT books. I wanted to learn the techniques in a classroom setting, but it seems that the company is not competent or organized enough to offer anything that they promise.

Prometric is a testing facility that quite a few companies contract out to proctor their exams. While the location was hard to find the facility itself isn't that much nicer. It's a small little office space that when you walk in are 2 desks where the workers sit and a room full of small partial cubicles for the test takers. While the 2 guys working here seem friendly enough, it is a little intimidating taking a test here. First you enter and sign in, give the guys 2 forms of IDs, then put everything you have on you in a locker. But the kicker is how they search you and wand you down to make sure you aren't sneaking anything into the test with you; even though they have cameras pointed on each little cube in the testing room. All this security precautions just seem to be unnecessary; as most test taker here are adults taking an exam for their employer. I have less issue going through TSA at an airport.

Get ready for constant video and audio surveillance…read more.. At Prometric, you are forced to endure the most stressful future-deciding exams without even a sentimental token of your real life. No, you may not bring your bag, your water bottle, your pens... You will enter the lab with only regulation conforming, newly issued pencils, and your government ID. Should you get warm, and take off your jacket, it will promptly be removed from the room. Bathroom breaks are noted, requiring signatures and ID upon re-entry. To any university admissions counselors reading: Rest assured, you can take any Charleston area scores at face value. The Prometric crew is nothing if not professional. To their credit, they did provide secure lockers, water, coffee, miniature cupcakes, kleenex, etc. outside the lab door. OK, the cupcakes barely looked edible, but they were a nice gesture. And, contrary to my SAT testing experiences (on paper!), you are issued your exam on your own computer, and begin when processed. An early arrival might earn you an early start, instead of more time in a room of nervous test takers, waiting for the mandatory monologues about the nature of the exam.

He verbally threatened my child and told him he was filming him. it scared him so much he was crying the whole way home. I contacted the police and they went to speak with him. Now, because this man child can't handle a bad review we are going to have to step into legal action. Avoid all cost.

The artist was Silvia Belviso Blair and I was informed that she provides private art lessons. Relatively new to the world of painting and stuck on a particular commission piece, I signed up for a class from Silvia. I was not disappointed. She is fantastic. In the hour that she spent with me, I learned so many useful tips that I continue to use on a very regular basis. She is patient, thoughtful with her instruction, and just a very talented artist. I decided to take an oil painting class from Silvia shortly thereafter. Having just moved, it was so nice to have the two locations (Mt. Pleasant and West Ashley) to choose from. Once again, Silvia's instruction did not disappoint and I have now transitioned from using mostly acrylics to working mostly in oils now. The classes were mellow and my fellow classmates were a lot of fun - so much so that nobody paid attention to the time and Silvia was gracious enough to let us stay past our designated hour and a half if we chose to. The classes range from beginner/basic to very unique and I can't wait to explore them further. If you have a creative itch, I highly recommend the Blair Center!
