Another two weeks has gone by and I have not heard from this facility. I got over all of my…read morepaperwork right away for the referral. I totally do not understand what is going on. Right now I am without a heart doctor. I have never heard of doctor doing this before. The last time I talked to somebody they said he was booked out through January and they were waiting for him to add more days in. I have not been gotten back to this is really concerning. I just got off the phone with them and I had to ask for the office manager. Now after 5 6 weeks they are telling me they are no longer taking new patients. Why didn't they tell me this from the very beginning. This is not the way an office should run. When I asked them in the very beginning if they were taking new patients the answer was yes and Hannah told me that numerous of times she just said the doctor had to open up more days. I am so upset this is not the way it should be for a heart specialist. If I could give one star I would. As many times as I have talked to Hannah she should have just told me. One time she did tell me if I didn't like the wait that I could go somewhere else. I just heard great reviews on this doctor. I wish I had gotten the opportunity to find that out.

The Bad You might have to wait a couple months if you wish to get an appointment with Dr. Ashtiani. The UGLY ...and it is ugly You will wait, and wait, and wait, and WAIT in the office for an ABSURD amount of time before they call you back...and if you are unlucky like me...they might not even call you back. For my second appointment, I called to let them know I would be ten minutes late, they were cool with it. I arrived ten minutes late and had to wait one hour and twenty minutes to be called back for a quick test. No problem, it was my fault for arriving late...I thought. BUT TODAY, oy vey!! I arrived early for my 3pm appointment. At 4:42pm I see a hall light go off and a staff member leave...I decide I better go to the counter as it seems they may have forgotten about me???? I go to the front desk and ask the girl if I should reschedule my appointment (since they close at 5pm and I was there for a stress test which apparently takes some time). She says, "ok" and makes a new appointment for me in two more weeks . She NEVER asked why I wanted to reschedule and never apologized for my wait. After sitting in the waiting room for ONE HOUR AND FORTY SEVEN MINUTES I would think they would have some sort of empathy for the patient that just waited for nearly two hours for an appointment. Typical high desert service. I was so happy to find a doctor in the high desert that had more than two stars... sadly, this place is just like the rest of the medical offices up here. They don't give a S... about you or your time. I hope the office manager reads this and gets some customer service training for the person at the window that didn't give a crap about my exasperatingly long wait... the only thing she was worried about was getting to leave in 18 minutes. Pfff...

Here's a stronger version that emphasizes your concerns while staying factual and credible. Reviews…read moretend to have more impact when they focus on specific experiences rather than insults. I had a very disappointing experience in the emergency room. What concerned me the most was that my sanitation concerns were completely dismissed. When I was given an IV, it was started at the nurse check-in station where there was a computer, keyboard, mouse, and paperwork. Instead of using a clean tray or sterile surface, the IV supplies including the needle packaging, alcohol wipes, and other items were placed directly on the counter. I expressed that I did not feel this was sanitary. I acknowledged that the supplies themselves were sterile, but pointed out that the counter, keyboard, and mouse are high-touch surfaces that are not sterile. Rather than addressing my concern or using a cleaner setup, I was simply told that I would "be fine." My concern was dismissed instead of taken seriously, which left me feeling unheard and uncomfortable. I also questioned why I was receiving an IV before the doctor had even determined what was wrong with me. The nurse said she was just following orders and couldn't answer my question. Shortly afterward, I was offered morphine before I had even been given a diagnosis. I declined because I wanted to understand what was causing my pain first. Despite saying no, I was asked again if I was sure. Given the seriousness of the opioid crisis, I found it concerning how quickly a powerful opioid was offered before any explanation of my condition. To make matters worse, I only saw the doctor once, yet I still received a large hospital bill for an experience that left me feeling ignored, unheard, and concerned about basic infection control practices. Patients should never have to argue for what they believe are reasonable sanitation standards, nor should their concerns be brushed aside. This experience seriously damaged my confidence in the quality of care provided at this emergency room.
