Terrible experience. If you're having a bad day, go home, don't disrespect your customers that are there to give you money.

Good school system without the quality of true music education. Teachers were very nice, but just…read morelike some other reviewers mentioned, the turnover rate was quite high which tells a lot without saying a word. Students showed Very slow progress. The school does have fantastic reward system where they hand out wrist bands and trophies based on how long the students are with the school. We have met and had some really nice teachers but if you are looking for solid foundation, this is not a good place to go. But if you want a place where you can try different instruments out and see which one you are interested in, this may be the place for you to start. Although it is quite rare, They DO charge you for cancelling. Yes, very ridiculous and does not make any sense. I was very shocked when I saw the cancellation fees on my last statement. Update - in response to Casey (owner) 's comment - Hi Casey, thank you for your comment. I do appreciate the information that you gave out. As students and parents, there was absolutely no way for us to know how you run your business or how booked the teachers are. As I mentioned before, we had some, actually a couple of them, within 6 months (only) while my kids were with yours music school, great and nice teachers. Again, I am not here to bash them, but just to have opinions about how we feel with your music school. Every business has their targeted clients, and I just had my own opinions about how I felt when we were your clients and as parents who are looking for services for their kids, I truly believe these personal opinions are greatly appreciated.

My son had a couple of different teachers, but the one that he had most often didn't even seem to like kids. He never said hello or goodbye to him, and pretty much treated him as a bother. For $50 per 30 minute lesson, I would expect better service. My son did enjoy going, but I will find somewhere else to put him for lessons next time.

We have been renting our son's instrument from Brook Mays for about two years. During those two…read moreyears we've had to exchange his instrument for a larger size a couple of times due to his growth. The service we have received has always been great! There is always someone welcoming us when we walk in the store, and they are always knowledgeable about the rental exchange process. If the instrument we needed was unavailable in the Arlington store, they would get one in quickly and keep us informed during the wait (usually about a week). Recently, we had the misfortune of his viola being taken and had to call for a replacement. Since we had the rental insurance in place, this process was as simple as the exchanges we had done previously. However, this time, the store manager went out of his way to drive across DFW to pick up the instrument we needed so that our son didn't have to miss a full week of rehearsal and practice time. Wow!! We were blown away, we had offered to make the drive if they were able to find one in the area, but Steve took customer service to the next level to help us out!

The absolute worst customer service I've ever received. I Was sold the wrong string for my…read moredaughter's cello due to the store mislabeling the package. The lady working was rude and argumentative. The package was not even opened and she could see the sales history in her computer. She finally agreed to exchange it for a string she said should work as this was "partially" their mistake. I was then charged $5 more dollars because the one that should work was apparently more expensive. It gets better...... the package on the one we paid the additional amount for was opened and had a higher price tag over the lower one. They lost a customer today!!!
