Meat was juicy and melted in your mouth like butter. The American cheese you could taste on the burger but was not over whelming. The only downside is the price. I went in earlier this week 7/24 because my son wanted a burger. I ordered the kids burger with apples as a side. It also came with an apple juice. It was pretty hot in there so I ordered the meal to go. The food didn't take too long at all. My kid refused to eat the burger after one bite. When I looked at the apples they were expired from the week before 7/15. I didn't taste the burger but I took his word that it didn't taste right. I tried calling but wasn't able to get anyone. My first night in DC this place was close by so I tried the bacon jalapeño burger, and it was delicious!!! I ended up going back the next night to try the spicy chicken sandwich and each of their sauces and all the sauces were good and the chicken sandwich was amazing!!! I stopped by on a Sunday and this place was pretty empty. Shalya greeted us and provided her recommendations on what we should get. She provided GREAT customer service and her recommendation was spot on in regards to the Crispy Chicken club which I ordered. This Crispy Chick Club was GREAT!!! Nice meat, the sauce provided made it even better. The fries were hot and tasty. They are very similar to Five Guys but crispier. The veggie burger was a no go for my wife. Picture doesn't do it justice. Genuinely the most delicious burger I've ever had in my life. The bun is buttery and soft with a little crunch on the inside from sitting on the grill. The smashed burgers are divine and come with two patties which makes the ratio perfect. Fries are fried to perfection in avocado oil which is a nice touch. The location is very convenient, right near the Navy Yard metro station, amidst a bunch of other restaurants and coffee houses. The aesthetic is very bright, cheery and attractive fast casual/fast food-ish. Order at the counter. The menu consists of a handful of burger & chicken sandwich combinations, hot dogs, fries and drinks. Very basic, but what they make they do very well. Husband and I both got classic cheeseburgers, and he also got fries. We both really liked the burgers a lot - good quality patty, lots of cheese, not a "fancy schmancy" burger, but a very solid better than the big guys fast food type burger. The fries are fresh cut, which my husband appreciates more than I do. I do like the dipping sauce they came with, kind of like a thousand island. I should mention the burgers were $7.50 each, which is a lot less expensive than the Five Guys / BurgerFis of the world, and probably more on par with fast food prices but these are a league above the McD's / BK burgers. These were better than many sit down restaurants we've been to in the area that charge a lot more. We'll definitely come back if we're nearby or have time to divert a few stops on the metro for a quick and inexpensive meal. read more

Best of all it stayed together and was easy to eat. The fries were thick cut. There was also an option to order seasoned or sweet potato fries. It came with their own swizzle sauce which can only be tasted and not described. The lemonade was a let down. It tasted and looked like any store bought lemonade I've had before. You have to pay extra if you want this part fo the meal. So it was not worth it. All in all, I think it's a little overpriced for what you get, but then again it's DC.
