Update 4/24/2014: I just found out that Flagship sent a payoff amount that was not enough to cover the payoff, resulting in depletion of the escrow account I was expecting to get refunded to me. Totally Unsat. Original review: I'm a veteran, did a streamline refi to a VA ARM through flagship. Everything went smoothly and they were very professional. The numbers worked out exactly how they projected. Their closing agent/notary was very accomodating and got it done fast. After the loan closed, Loan Assistant Jen Pierce was especially helpful assisting me with an issue that wasn't even Flagship's fault (both my old escrow company and the new company paid my property taxes) She went above and beyond the call of duty helping me make sure the old escrow company got their funds back so they would go to me. (versus against the principal of the loan had it been returned to Flagship as the lender's rules dictate) I'm not sure why the guy with the bad review is so bent out of shape about the escrow numbers being off. escrow numbers are only as good as the information you give them, and the tax and insurance numbers can change over time. The mortgage company just takes what the customer or the insurance people or the county assessor tell them and uses it. It's always an estimate until you're into the mortgage and real numbers happen. I've had my escrows reduced at one point because the taxes went down a bit. Would he give a 9 star review if that happened? Hardly reason for a bad review in my opinion.

It still is not right that I have phone records of daily calls, sometimes multiple a day from this organization. Especially when I'm a former customer and would have possibly been a return customer had they not started this predatory lending behavior, and lack of respect when asked to be removed from the call list by two sales agents who continued to call. The other organizations I've refinanced with respect their customers and only send me a greeting card on a holiday or such. Not a single sales call.

Changing from a 5 star to a 1 star! I originally wrote a very positive review about Mike Stevens…read moreand Capital Wealth Advisors when we first met and signed up with them. Close to the end of year one my husband and I transferred some money from an IRA to a new Roth IRA. The amounts transferred were the same for both me and my husbands so it was easy to keep track of In December we found that for my new Roth IRA account the initial amount had not been invested. My husbands new Roth IRA was growing and my new Roth IRA seemed to be dormant. We brought this to Mike's team at Capital Wealth Advisors they said it hadn't been invested and would let Mike know. In February of the next year it was still dormant and not invested. Talked with the new president that Mike had put in place and was told they would fix the issue as it was their fault. In talking with Mike a few weeks later he told us that he had a conversation with his team and that they could NOT do anything about it. In April it still had not be allocated/invested. On August 1st on a zoom call Mike apologized to us, as he was confused as to what had happened and stated that it indeed was their fault and they "would make it right" as of that moment. He said my Roth IRA would then match my husbands Roth IRA. On August 13th my husband wrote Mike an email asking why it had still not been taking care of as promised. Mike wrote back saying that he had been out of town and was still "working" on it and that aslo maybe we should part ways and he would then turn our account into a "retail trade account". They finally could only mail me a check for the amount I would have gained on the account had they invested it. Problem with that is, I am not really made whole as promised because I am going to have to pay taxes again on that money and could not simply reinvest it because I am retired. We stated that to Mike and all he could say is "check with your tax advisor". So it was not made right nor whole.

Mike is total jerk to deal with. He will be super nice to get your business then flip a switch…read more My advice is to go somewhere else. Never saw anything in 5 years with my investment.

That is obviously what you need first and foremost in a financial investment guy. We also particularly appreciate his patience with us and his thoroughness in answering our questions and ensuring that we understand the strategies that are being employed in our behalf. This works well for us because my wife and I understand the financial world differently. He always makes sure that we are informed regarding new Decker investment offerings and how they might potentially benefit us without employing any pressure. All that said, as a bonus, he is a class act and a gentleman.
