I discovered them one Sunday at the Central Park (Founder's Green) Farmer's Market - 29th & Roslyn (8:30AM -12:30PM). At Founder's Green look for the yellow tents & big white truck every week, rain or shine thru about mid-October. I was told they've been at that same spot for 20 years. The produce looks like it could appear on a Food Magazine cover! It's beautiful. Everything is bigger, brighter & better than what you'd find in the grocery aisles. Over the weeks I've tried many of the veggies & fruits, sometimes they have yummy samples. The two owners ( I think they are the owners), are there each week - one helps customers with the produce & the other weighs & takes payment. They're friendly & super helpful. They've given tips on microwaving corn on the cob & offering to cut off the very long tops of carrots. Speaking of corn....if you're a corn lover their Peaches & Cream Corn on the Cob is definitely worth getting, so fresh & sweet. Palizzi Farms Produce is the best!

Don't be deceived by its size: this is a farmer's market - the size that of a small dog, say,…read moreChihuahua - that boldly exists and has been serving the community in a relatively small section of the city of Aurora since 2020 (hopefully I'm right on this.) The fact that I didn't know it has existed until a few weeks ago is something I need to fathom. Whatever the case may be, I got to know it is the most important thing. According to its website, its motto appears right on the front page: "Feeding our community one garden at a time". This concept resonates with me so much. I get the impression that they don't care about the size of the market, they simply focus on the quality by providing nutrients that are largely lacking in our human lives because what they focus on is "contamination free". On a hot summer day in mid June, I was at the former location of its market (I think they had just announce that they are moving its location to Aurora Town Center which is still well within my reach) with my umbrella over me to avoid the strong sun. Coffee vendors to produce vendors to a bakery to a holistic vendor with a chair massage, there are about 10 to no more than 15 vendors lined up to welcome like-minded visitors who are looking for some rare finds. Each tent welcomed me with open arms. Yes, everyone is welcome. I sampled a morsel of a jalapeno cheddar sourdough bread at a 5260 Bread Co and this was one of the best breads I have ever tasted might not be an exaggerated statement. Genese with Gifted Touch gave me one of the most relaxing massages which put me to half sleep. But most of all, Anisha's Farms impressed me the most out of all. Anisha grows vegetables in her (backyard?) garden. Using those veggies with no contaminants, she makes jars of what's somewhat considered a "salsa" called "chow chow". But it's more than the regular salsa. It's fermented that gives all sorts of nutrients. In a way, this is a wellness product you can incorporate into your daily meal routine. I got me the medium spicy which isn't spicy at all (I'm saying this from the standpoint of someone who is not big on spicy hot stuff.) I put this one on egg white omelet or sauteed spinach or even cold tofu to eat it in the morning. This absolutely enhances my morning meal each day which I even look forward to it the night before about dreaming about consuming Anisha's magical concoction. I feel like my body is cleansed from deep within.I cannot wait to go back and buy more of those. Next time, I am determined to buy a loaf of the jalapeno cheddar sourdough from the bread company (makes my mouth water by imagining it.) Thanks Rebel Market, for becoming part of my community in the southeastern Denver metro area. You'll have my utmost respect and support going forward. They have a great variety of produce along with honey, jam, Cherry co juice, popcorn, and beans you can purchase by the lb! The staff is super friendly and helpful as well. Great service and my favorite is their weekly fresh produce boxes. Oh and you can accrue points as well for future discounts! Need I say more??

My husband and I came by this Farmer's Market around 10:30 am this past Sunday. We road our bikes and decided to take a little break here. As we were walking down the street, we were greeted by a friendly young woman who was selling dips and marinades. She told us a little about the business (unfortunately I had forgotten the name of it) and offered us samples of her dips. Because we are travelling, we decided not to buy any since it would be a hassle to bring back glass bottles/ jars in our luggage. But if we lived nearby, I would have purchased some in a heart beat. Anyways, I liked this Farmer's Market even though it isn't that big. There was an ice cream sandwich vendor and a vendor roasting peppers (the smell was delicious). I loved seeing all the fresh fruits and vegetables, that were actually pretty cheap (some even cheaper than what the market would be charging for). Since this Farmer's Market is only available during the summer (June through September, 9 am- 1 pm), it shouldn't be missed. Be sure to write it down in your calendar so that you get a chance to drop by next summer. Also this Farmer's Market is very dog friendly as well. We saw so many sweet, mild mannered dogs which made us miss our dogs while we were on vacation. Thank goodness these dogs welcomed pets and behind the ear scratches.

It's usually pretty packed later on, but if you get there right at 9, you can enjoy a quieter morning with no crowd and that's pretty wonderful! We recently stopped by for breakfast (Wasko's Sandwiches for me, Pasty Republic for the husband) and coffees from Novo before snagging a couple of lovely-looking bouquets of flowers from a truck down the way. Not my favorite Farmers' Market but it's fun to visit at least once a summer.

All I heard was they were getting screwed over by the president. It's seems they don't understand what tariffs do. They will be pasted down to the customers, or retailers will ask you for a better deal. Kings, Safeway, Walmart etc is trying this, of the retaik will past so or all to the customer. Small business like this will get screwed. Equipment, gas, etc that takes to grows stuff will go up. They don't understand economics and tariffs. Last time trump did this wood , metal went up. Homes prices and cars will go up by 5 to 10 k. People will cut back. We see that already. Last time trump did this. He had to help out farmers and ranchers and they did not get all their loses covered by him. Other countries will do the same to us. That is a trade war. Every thing it takes to grow on the far, will go up. Equipment, parts, seeds, labor etc. It will be past to the consumer. Countries don't pay tariffs consumers will it's past down the supply chain. Dumb farmers.
