I am indecisive but I also have pretty specific taste...it wasn't easy for me to find much I liked, let alone something I thought I'd like for the rest of my life! We also had no idea what we were doing, neither of us had any experience buying fine jewelry. I found I ring I loved IMMEDIATELY when we went to Mozaffarian. We also liked that the store is small, and it is very carefully and beautifully curated...other places felt a little overwhelming. Mozaffarian really feels like a family owned business, and there are so few places like that left in San Francisco now. The store is quiet and it's evident from the moment you walk inside that this a place you go when you are SERIOUS about buying a beautiful piece of jewelry (or a Faberge egg! This is the kind of customer service that is incredibly difficult to find these days: knowledgeable, kind people who are eager and able to help you find exactly what you want. Cynthia and Amir worked with Andy to find the perfect diamond for my ring and I could not be happier. As particular as I was about the setting, Andy was even more particular about the diamond, but they found one that met his standards of cut, clarity, color, and carat. It's exactly what we both wanted and I absolutely love it. A year later I still get compliments on it ALL THE TIME - I always know it's time to get my ring cleaned when no one has commented on it in a few days! Cynthia may be the most eloquent person I've ever held a conversation with, and I always enjoy stopping by to get the ring cleaned and catch up. We're getting our wedding bands there now and we would never have considered going anywhere else, in part because Cynthia's guidance is so valuable. I took my G-Shock GGB100-1A to Ben for a battery replacement after he assured me he could handle…read morethe job. Unfortunately, here's what happened: 1. The job was not completed within the promised timeframe. He didn't bother calling me in advance and informing me about the delay. 2. The incorrect battery was installed, and now the mechanical arms no longer function correctly. 3. Several screws were stripped from overtightening, replacements difficult to find. See the photos. 4. The case is not properly closed, compromising the waterproofing. Have zero trust in this watch after seeing the quality of his work. 5. My follow-up phone call and voicemail were ignored. This watch isn't just a piece of jewelry, it's a functional tool I depend on. Ben should have declined the job if it was beyond his expertise; He would lose 35 dollars but that level of honesty would have earned him a 5-star review from me. This shop might be fine for simple watches, but for more complex or technical work, be aware of the risks. I hope my experience helps others avoid the same mistake.
