There is more than meets the eye to this unkommon shop. It's located in an unassuming strip mall…read morethat can easily be missed (I missed it a couple times myself). Parking is in the back so you can access the lot either from Pioneer Blvd. or from behind, off Corby Ave. I really appreciate their minimalist interior design as I feel that their inventory should be the forefront of the shop. Their shoe selection is pretty diverse. They currently carry everything from Vans, Converse, Clarks, Thorogood, Wolverine and Timberland. There's also a decent selection of Jansport Heritage Series backpacks and bags. They will soon carry TOMS and expand on their Nike shoe game so stay tuned you Nike shoe fiends! The extremely friendly employee also mentioned adding apparel and Herschel accessories very soon. They have pretty extensive Timberland options here. I, myself, was FINALLY able to get my hands on the classic wheat boot. They only had one pair of my size in stock, which just so happened to be the display, but the employee happily yanked it and boxed it up for me without hesitation. Their customer service is on point! I foresee many more trips to this shop especially when their inventory grows. Follow them on IG [UNKOMMONSHOP] for the latest on what they have in store!

There's actually something unkommon about this shoe store. But, I'm not going to tell you. What I…read morewill say is that the place is particular yet original and for a shoe addict like me, that works just fine. Just like the select footwear that's sold inside, the store is clean and hip. Not a very large store, but there's enough to keep you interested. Sometimes, the bigger the selection, the more confusion and time you're going to spend so I like to see just the right amount of sneakers to get my juices flowing. If you're a shoe aficionado, check this place out. Good selection of boots too. You might be surprised to see what's in store. CHUCK TAYLOR ALL-STARS Introduced in 1917, it's the most successful selling basketball shoe in history. Known for it's signature raison star logo, all the basic colors are sold here. Having a unisex design, the Converse sneaker still remains fashionable and people like me who prefer chucks are devoted fans of the shoe. If you don't own one of the 800 million pairs that been sold to date, then there's something definitely wrong here. However, today's purchase was the Chiili Pepper/Black VANS. A dark bright red color, outlined with black shoelaces. I'm positive that a few compliments will follow. Adding them to my collection was the highlight of my weekend. Just ask Jesus. He's the sales clerk that works here. A cool guy who happened to notice my sly grin as I left the venue. So what's so unkommon about this shoe store? Go do yourself a favor and find out.

Today I visited Dick's Sporting Goods at the Los Cerritos Center, and I had the privilege of…read moremeeting an exceptional young employee named Damien, who is only 17 years old. I have been in business for many years and have met thousands of people throughout my life, but every once in a while, you come across someone who leaves a lasting impression on your heart. Damien was one of those people. From the moment he greeted me, he treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine professionalism. Every word was spoken with courtesy: "Yes, sir," "Thank you, sir," and "It's a pleasure to help you, sir." His manners, patience, and willingness to assist were truly remarkable. As I spoke with him, I couldn't help but think back to my own teenage years. Damien reminded me of a time when respect, humility, and strong values were the foundation of a young person's character. Seeing such a respectful and hardworking young man today touched me deeply. In fact, I had tears in my eyes because it gave me hope and reassurance that there are still wonderful young people in this world. His parents deserve tremendous credit for raising such an outstanding young man, and Dick's Sporting Goods should be extremely proud to have Damien representing their company. He is a shining example of what customer service should be and what good character looks like. Damien, thank you for your kindness, your professionalism, and your respect. You made my shopping experience unforgettable. Young men like you are rare, and I hope your managers recognize what a valuable asset you are to their team. May God bless you and your future. Keep working hard, stay humble, and never change. The world needs more young people like you.

Legit WORST customer service. Just a bunch of lazy staff yawning and chatting around like it's actually insane and embarrassing and give attitude when they actually have to work. It sucks because it's actually such a good place to buy shoes, apparel, gear, etc and the workers make it such a BAD EXPERIENCE. Don't come here..

They have hockey, baseball, football, and basketball jerseys. A huge collection of baseball hats. Any sports fanatic would love to have a shopping spree there. They sell these electronic baseball caps that will have 'Lakers' or 'USC' on it, and they light up. Pretty cool but you'd probably look like an idiot if you're wearing it with the lights on and you're NOT at whatever game that your team is playing in. I saw Nick Lachey wearing a USC one on 'Newlyweds' at a USC game. Around Christmas, they start selling those stockings that will have a sports team colors and logo on it. Pretty neat. I'm hoping that they will carry OJ Mayo's USC jersey.

My experience with IDC ended with a positive outcome…read more It started rocky as the instructions I gave to J.J. as to where to place the patch were not followed. This resulted in the shirt being stained with the adhesive from the patch after it was removed. Yesenia then took over and she helped to bring the project home. She did not charge me for the digitization of the new patch I created to cover over the stain on the shirt. The new patch produced by her was high quality, vibrant and was applied in the correct spot. Ultimately I was happy with the outcome and feel that I would trust them with another project in the future. During my visits to IDC, I have seen happy and energetic customers eagerly creating or picking out patches that they want for their projects. I wish them continued success.

We had to go back and forth because they didn't want to refund us so we decided to give them another chance... it is October now . I called yesterday for an update and was told I'd get a call back from Jose the owner , not surprised I haven't received a call or an update. I will not be coming back here. The lack of communication for what you're paying is not worth it for getting charged twice after they charged us almost $1000 for 3 jackets . Ridiculous.
