On a 78 degree clear Sunday evening in mid July, the two lines to place orders were long, and the parking lot was full. The quality of the home made ice cream makes Baron's a summer destination. It is amazing how organized and well thought out the ordering system is. There are two lines/windows for orders, and a third line/area for pick up. If you pay with a card, there is a staff member expediting orders while you stand in line. Staff brings your order out. It only took 25 minutes from arriving to indulging.

I originally parked in the small lot on the right (when facing the building) and it was a very tight squeezed, but then realized there was a much larger parking lot on the other side, so I moved over there. It's been a while since I've visited The Inside Scoop. The last time I remember going, you went inside and ordered the ice cream. I'm not sure when they switched to the window, but I found it to be much more convenient than many people being squished inside a small space to order. There were lots of choices of ice cream to try, but I ultimately picked blueberry pie in a sugar cone. It was delicious. My mom picked peppermint (her favorite flavor) and was very happy with how many chunks of candy were in it. The employee that took our order was very friendly and seemed to scoop our ice cream well. Overall, The Inside Scoop is a must-try ice cream spot in this area.

There's a tiny parking lot to the right of the boldly painted building, but an even bigger one to the left. If you have a larger vehicle, I recommend parking in the left lot. Plenty of space for you there! The young woman at the counter was super peppy and was excited to scoop me her favorite, black raspberry Oreo, on special that week. I grabbed extra napkins because the humidity outside was already working against me. I walked over to the seating area on the side and got to work quickly before nature won. The black raspberry ice cream was cool and creamy, great raspberry flavor without tasting artificial as some do. The oreos adding some chocolatey richness to the experience. It felt indulgent and refreshing. I basically inhaled it so I wouldn't wear it but every bite was fantastic. Inside Scoop has been there for ages, and for good reason. Next time you're in North Kingstown, swing by and try it out for yourself!

That balance includes not just the precisely focused menu and their astute assessment of a real need waiting to be filled; it also reflects the research, planning, work and personalities that are going to bring success. Adam and Donny have clearly done a lot of homework, not just with the business side, but culinary-wise. One does not just open a restaurant and hope for the best- especially with "real' (meaning, raw, scratch-prepared) product- even ice cream handling is scientific, and the scooping of it is a very precise maneuver with specific technics absolutely necessary. Whether Daisy's will establish a brand and grow, franchise, diversify, or just continue along as an exemplary demonstration of business acumen and personality profile to keep these kids happy just as it is, they have at least one customer who will keep coming back not just for the "Winter Blast" ice cream and the perfectly prepared chicken breasts not frozen patties), but out of a very strong fascination for observing and following whatever these two do into the future. There were also lots of picnic tables to choose from and a small line to get through at the counters but it gave me time to consider my options. I ultimately choose the sea salt caramel truffle in a sugar cone. The scoop was pretty big, but because it was warm outside, it instantly started melting so I had to eat quick.
