I was concerned about having a sloped backyard. One thing good about Rainbow, they have solutions for it. The installation was a week earlier which I didn't mind at all because bad weather was expected the following week. Initially I was going to give 3 stars because after installation there were some screws that were not flush with the wood, some bolts were missing acorn nuts, and one of the buttons for the canopy popped off. With child safety a top priority for Rainbow, I feel that this is a major issue. I sent an email to Morgan with pictures of my concerns. Now this was late Friday night that I sent this email. By Monday, the same crew that installed the play system came back out and addressed all of my concerns.

We had a great time and I went away feeling this is one of the few public courses I've played where I had a mid-level country club experience albeit at a public course. Very nice, clean, well maintained facilities. Air conditioned restrooms at the clubhouse, one on each nine and one at the turn (including the well stocked snack bar). Great hill country feeling with beautiful views, very tame deer and fairways lined with some beautiful homes. Fairways had good grass for just coming out of dormancy. The greens were quite large and long. Good quality grass although a little sparse, creating very fast speed and some difficulty in getting the ball to stop on putts and approaches. Experience and local knowledge gained this trip will be a big help for future rounds. Very large driving range with artificial turf and Top Tracer access. Nice practice putting green. Two VERY large longhorn steers in a small corral adorned the first tee/ninth fairway adjacent to the snack bar at the turn. All the staff and marshals were very friendly and helpful. The cart girls had great personalities, were very helpful and made the rounds regularly. Full bar and lots of cold beverages on board. Very fair prices for refreshments. The only thing missing was ball washers but not a huge deal. Good value for money, especially if you sign up for one of their discount programs. I look forward to returning soon!

I have been here twice before, and both times were great experiences. The first time I went to have…read morea frame repaired and have a portrait dry mounted. The portrait was a chalk drawing of me from 1973. So we're already dealing with something that's almost 50 years old. The proprietor was very professional and let me know what I could expect regarding this portrait. He made a lot of explanations to me that made sense, and put me at ease that he knew what he was talking about. When I went to pick up the frame, he had repaired it beautifully and replaced the glass and the picture looked great. He wasn't really happy with it however, because of the paper and how it can stretch when you're drawing on it and then when you dry mount it, it can kind of shrink back down. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, he wasn't really satisfied with the outcome and he ended up not charging me. I returned to him later with three silk screened drawings that I got from an artist in New Orleans. We discussed the frames and the different types of glass, and I was really happy with the results. Please see the pictures attached. I returned to him a third time with another project which I'm picking up tomorrow. And I will be dropping off another project for him. Go here if you need a local artist to frame your art.
