I will keep it short and to the point. The pizza I got from Swingbridge pizza tonight was the worst pizza I ever had! The crust was as thin as a taco shell, very little horrible tasting sauce and tasteless cheese. It was BAD. How can a place make such a bad pie? I think they are getting ready to close up, there was zero effort in making this pie. I have had frozen boxed pizzas that were much better than the garbage they made me. Without going into detail, they had an excuse for our complaints about the pie. A good smart businessman would have offered to make a new pizza the next time we ordered one. But not them! In the quest to find a good, local pizza place we stopped in to Swing Bridge Pizza to check it out. We were excited that they had a lunch menu and while it only has about 4 items to choose from, we feel it gives us a good opportunity to try out a new place without feeling overwhelmed by studying the menu. We both opted for the 2 slices and a beverage lunch special. It is for 2 slices of cheese pizza but can add toppings. Each topping is an additional price (which I forgot to jot down, will find out and update review) and applies to each slice, not just for the meal. The sauce and toppings were very good but I felt that the crust was very bland and could use a little seasoning (maybe butter, garlic and Parmesan). Classic strip mall pizza vibe. Cozy and fun decor inside. Very welcoming. Friendly staff. Great smells. The pizza is made fresh. They're chopping their veggies and making dough back there! The pizza is very hearty and loaded. I got their namesake special (photo) and you can see all the yummy veggies on there. This is the kind of pizza that's meant for you to season to taste. They give you a great base to work with, but it's up to you to really get in to the flavor profile. They have a nice basket of fixins for you to work your magic. Discovered this place via Yelp, and glad took the recommendation. The pie was excellent, and the salads were excellent - I would highly recommend the grilled chicken salad. We got ours to go, but picked it up. The place was really clean and had and excellent ambiance about it. They were busy, but had plenty of staffing to knock out our order in about 15 minutes, which was more than reasonable for a busy Saturday evening. What a great find! The food is great because everything is fresh and home made. We had the ante pasta salad, served ice cold, and loaded with salami, olives, tomatoes, onions, and crisp lettuce. The portion could have served 4 people easily! And the balsamic dressing had a sweet-tart flavor that was delicious. The pizza we ordered came out about 5 minutes after we finished our salads. And it was gorgeous! We got the "Swing Bridge Special", loaded with toppings, and each was generous. The pizza was thin-crust, and the crust was golden, just short of being brown. Absolutely perfect! It was all we could do to fininsh it (It was a medium!), but we forced ourselves! Excellent service was provided by Mindy, a real professional, the kind of server who's there only when you want her. When our drinks were low, she didn't ask if we wanted refills; she just brought them. And she has a friendly, helpful manner. The service she gave us added a lot to the experience. The bill for dinner - huge ante pasta salad, delicious specialty pizza, 2 drinks, tax, and a good tip - came to $40.00. I've paid a lot more and gotten a lot less that what he had at Swing Beidge. A great carry out experience with Swing Bridge Pizza recently. The best places come to us from friends and our friends at Yelp. This place checked both boxes. We ordered a meal for our family. The meatball sub and chicken Parmesan sub were our favorites. The homemade chips were really good as well. The staff was extremely nice and the prices were very reasonable. We decided to take a trip across the Swing Bridge out of Cherry Grove to beat the crowds. Glad we did. This was a tiny little pizza/Italian place in a small strip mall. We got there about 6:45 and were the only customers there besides a couple of locals hanging out. I got the Baked Lasagna and my husband got the Baked Spaghetti. Both came with a big side salad and garlic bread. The portions were huge! I took half my Lasagna home with me. The sweet tea was wonderful! Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out fast and piping hot. No nuking here... pretty sure this was cooked as we ordered it. Well need a $30 min order for delivery even tho you pay a delivery fee n tax n tip. So I ordered 2 pizzas. Pizzas took well over an hour. Arrived warm. The small cheese pizza was fine. The medium with extra toppings was ridiculous. Strings of spinach you hardly could see; must've been half jar of jalapeños; pepperoni n mushrooms ok. $1.40 ea extra! I basically threw most of medium away as no sauce nor cheese etc on at least 1/2 inch of pizza rim. It became a small. No one said "I'm sorry for the wait" nor did they offer any apology. I said "I guess I didn't need to call it in since I had to wait so long after I got here". She didn't say a word. THIS WAS ONCE A GREAT PIZZA - NOT ANYMORE. The last two that we ordered were awful. There are raw veggies all over it, falling all over the sides. The onions, green peppers, banna peppers etc. are not cooked - they are pilled on top raw. You can barely taste sauce or crust. Most if them were put down the garbage disposal. We went here on the suggestion of my fellow Yelpers. Sorry Dudes... you let us down this time. We had the Baked Spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were just too much and there was very little sauce on the spaghetti, but our very sweet waitress brought me a small bowl of extra sauce that helped a lot. The salad that came with the meal was very good. Fresh and big! The garlic bread was also very good, but I went for the spaghetti and was disappointed. I think this place is more of a local hangout and a delivery business. I'm not saying the food was bad by any means. I guess we are just used to our own local Italian place back home, which has killer food. Besides us and another couple we were the only customers in the place, but all the employees were very kind and all wished us a good evening when we left. We got there about 7:00pm and were out by 7:30, so the service was very quick. Oh and the ice tea was delicious. Give this place a try. Haven't been able to find a good pizza and sub shop since I e been here. The subs are excellent and the pizza is pretty good as well. The staff is friendly and despite the looks from the outside, the place is very clean. Eating in was not an option because of CoVid but the atmosphere seems very nice.
