There are many hazards your can't see from the tee box. If you're not careful, you may find a few during your round. Others have mentioned the pace of play here. We experienced this problem too, but we were part of a large group. The insanely slow group in front of us was our very own people. It would have been nice for someone to have been driving around, kicking them in the backside to urge them to speed up. It didn't help the beverage cart came by often enough to distract them during their round, LOL. The practice area was nice. The mats were a little worn, but there were tees and a bucket to clean your clubs. The chipping area was perfect. I come to the Reno area once a year to play a handful of courses. I would definitely want to play here again.

Not anyone's fault, the three groups ahead of us were all waiting. Never saw a Marshall, staff didn't put any effort into speeding up the pace of play. The staff was more concerned with the wedding they were hosting and allowing the wedding party to take pictures. Absolutely not the wedding parties fault. Got to the 18th hole at ~8:06pm. Marshall came flying by as we were on the tee box. We were friendly and waved and said hi. He didn't even acknowledge us and came in extremely rude telling us "stop playing, go return your cart it's 8pm". And drove straight past. Now look, I get it there's a cutoff but the club sells tee times out till 6pm for 18 holes and nothing I saw said a hard cutoff at 8pm. If the club doesn't enforce any kind of pace of play then are rude telling us to essentially get out without letting us play the last hole due to us being unable to play the round in a reasonable time then idk what to do. If you're going to play here I wouldn't book anything past 2:30pm because pace has been slow every time I've played here. For me, I won't be coming back again which is a real shame because I think the course is great. This isn't the only issue I've had with the club/staff but this is a long enough post.

Steak was cold and practically raw (some of my family doesn't like it like that), the green beans weren't cleaned or trimmed, the potatoes were undercooked and some were hard, and the Caesar salad had actual sardines on it, wasn't expecting that (grossed out some of my guests and it made it taste more fishy) Drinks from the bar were expensive. When I reached out to Emma after (I left voicemails, emails, etc) I got zero response. We paid a lot of money for this event and it was great but the food.... I wouldn't recommend their food.

It's a beautiful course that fits in nicely with our neighborhood, and without the housing congestion that continues to grow around the nearby Ranch course. My other experiences include: 1. Morning walks around the golf paths when the course is closed. 2. Attending special events at the Supper Club building. 3. Enjoying an occasional afternoon/early evening nosh and libation at the "19th hole" 4. Before golf course management switched to paid staff, I was a volunteer here. Most of that work was positioning and cleaning golf carts, including an occasional tip. There was also trash pickup, supplying balls to the driving range, and managing tee times at Hole #1. Oddly enough, Gayle and I don't play golf, despite the urgings of friends and family who do here. As a first step, lessons might be in our future.

For the 4 of us to play with club rentals (because we didn't bring them due to travel) was only $170. That's hard to beat. We had so much fun. The views are ABSOLUTLY beautiful. So if you are looking for somewhere to enjoy time with people or the beautiful Tahoe views this is the place to play! If you are a golf snob who can't have a good time... steer clear.

There are a few picnic tables at the front if you want to pick up some food down the street and eat before you start. Course is 9 holes with a handful of par 4's. Location is absolutely gorgeous; surrounded by trees and great views of the mountains. The putting greens are absolutely awful which is probably the only downside of this place but honestly, for $20 golf we didn't mind it. Great way to spend a day in Tahoe that doesn't break the bank!

We got to Lake Tahoe Golf course early Tuesday morning July 8th and boy was it cold. So cold that they were delayed 1/2 due to frost on the greens. When it got going, we tee'd up and off we went. The fairways were nicely cut, the greens weren't that fast but tough enough for you to read them well and we didn't have to wait for any groups ahead of us. Great views of the mountains, nice streams crossing through the fairways and before a few greens. Very nice course.

For $65 in greens feed and $70 for club rentals, I got:…read more -No one at the bottom of the steps to help with a cart. Was a first timer at this course, I had no clue where to go. Not a single employee to be seen. Finally flagged someone down who asked where my key was. What key? Apparently after paying the prop was supposed to give me a key and I was supposed to just go pick out a cart. -No starter, so I just rolled up to the first hole and teed off at my tee time. -SLOOOOOOOOW pace. It took me over 5.5 hours to play 14 holes. At hole 12, I got tired of being stuck behind stacks of 3 and 4 somes and skipped past them until hole 15 and was still stuck behind a foursome, but at least they played quickly. The course was in great shape with great mix of forgiving and challenging holes. Seemed like there were a lot of par 3s though and one hole was under repair (10? 11?) so they turned it into kind of a janky par 3. Was just in town for a visit, but think i'll explore other courses instead next time I'm back.

I was worried based on some reviews and anecdotal stuff from friends. I was not only glad I played but altered my schedule so I could visit a second time. There were some areas under repair, but not to the extent it diminished my experience here. It was winter golf, after all. Tee Boxes: All were in good repair when I was there Fairways: There appeared to be mostly bermuda grass and all the fairways I actually hit from the tee boxes played fairly. Green: I found some of the greens to be challenging because they differed. Some were fast, some were slow. Hole placement was reasonable. No complaints. Bar: I can report that the staff ROCKED and the beer was delicious. Cart: Cart was clean and worked well. The cooler function was most excellent. Heh heh heh! Pro Shop: Great folks and they had a large selection of merch' that I succumbed to after my first round. Nice, affordable shirt to show off when I returned the next day. Driving range: What's to say?
