Poppin' pineapple with coconut cream ($3.50) and hula girl ($2.95)
    Sandee L.

And here I thought I was fancy when I mix my Pepsi with lemonade... Swig offers some ingenious non-alcoholic drink mixes to quench your thirst! It hit the spot, especially during a triple digit heat wave. I loved my hula girl! My bf and I thought his poppin' pineapple with coconut cream was strange. Our first time trying popping boba and we didn't care for it. It reminded us of big fish roe mixed in with a sweet drink. There was a sign on the front door stating due to staff shortages, the lobby would be closed until further notice. It was pretty annoying placing an order online and then waiting in the long line to pick it up at the drive thru. The NY Times reports some of the drinks here can add up to 1,000 calories. Whoa! Glad we could try this, but can't make it a habit!

    Hair in my boba

Found a hair in my boba.... Went early over today to get a boba and half way through saw a hair. I'm just glad I didn't sip it up through my straw. Nasty.

This was my first time at this Swig location, and I didn't think it was that great in comparison to the American Fork one. I got the dirtball cookie which didn't taste super fresh and the icing was a bit too sweet and thick. However, it could've just been that this specific flavor wasn't my favorite.

Liam is the best worker ever! He got my drink to me so fast and with a smile! Keep up the good work Liam! Youre awesome!

I've been to a few of the "dirty soda" shops in the area and this chain is probably the most well-known. Also, my least favorite to date! The service was lackadaisical at best--the high school girls working gave the bare minimum of effort and I'm 75% sure they put the wrong soda in my drink. We ordered three of the famous sugar cookies--and we left with three tummy aches. They sure taste good but it's the kind of cookie that instantly sinks to the pit of your stomach and just sits there. And gives you heartburn for another couple hours. My son's chocolate frosted sugar cookie wasn't even fully thawed when they handed it over. Poor form, Swig girls. Overall it's a soda shop. Any of the chains will offer you what you want--soda pop with extra flavors mixed in. But if you want enthusiastic service, pick a chain that isn't already assuming you'll show up no matter what they do. For myself, that means I'll be sticking with someplace other than Swig.

There is always an off duty police officer standing guard on the weekends, and tonight he had an extra duty of counting people into the store. You know for social distancing reasons. I like the measured amount of people being let into this store, it make for a nicer shopping experience, not so crowded. This store is usually wall to wall people and lines are long. Everyone was getting ID'd because of everyone having to wear a mask. I've seen people get sooo upset because they didn't follow our strict liquor laws and their sale was denied. I'll help you out (see below) 1. If your drivers licence is expired don't even try to come in. 2. If you walk in with your friends, and you don't plan on buying anything YOU will still get ID'd. If you don't have ID or your ID is expired the SALE will be denied. The best thing to do is stay in the car, and let your friend go in alone. I never understood why a gaggle of friends have to walk into the liquor store together. It only takes one of you in your group to get the sale denied. 3. Only acceptable ID is a valid passport. One that is expired will NOT work. A valid drivers licence. (If you renewed your drivers licence, and are waiting for your new one to arrive in the mail, and you only have your old drivers licence with the punch marks in it, but it's not expired you will be denied the sale.) Punched drivers licences are not valid. 4. Military ID On a side note: have your ID out and ready to go so you don't hold up the line. It makes for a faster sale.... I forgot to add...if they smell liquor on your breath NO sale either.

Attention sugar lovers! Our new meet up place is in Herriman at the Salt City Sweet Shop. Whether…read moreyou are into candy, fudge, soda, caramel apples, cotton candy or ice cream-this place has it. The selection is rather impressive. Candy takes most of us back to our childhood, so it's appropriate that the theme here is "retro." Along with candy from yesteryear, there are cool vintage looking signs and knick knacks for collectors. There are also tons of glass bottles of soda-the kind that you probably grew up drinking, or wish you had. Leatherby's ice cream (arguably the best out there) is served here as well. Want chocolate? Yup, plenty of decadent chocolates as well as a mouth-watering assortment of caramel apples. Really, there's something for everyone. If you don't find something here that you like, I would really question your level of contentment in life. I docked a star for a couple things. First, the location is tricky to get to. There's no direct access from the road, you have to maneuver around the building and enter from the side opposite the main road. It appears that another entrance is planned, but a temporary concrete barrier prevents it from being used until it's fully developed. So that's a challenge-one that will be resolved as the area grows and fills in. The other challenge was the customer service. There were two young ladies working there and neither of them greeting us when we entered. (It's a small enough space, and we were the only customers. It just felt awkward to walk in and start browsing while she just watched us.) When we checked out, I attempted friendly small talk and it fell flat. She wasn't rude, just not the friendly personality I'd hope to find in a local, small business. Otherwise, it's a great place and I'm sure my sweet tooth will guide me back again!

The restaurant is beautiful with fancy light up menus which is needed because it's pretty dark inside. I ordered the beef ribs and my husband ordered the picanha. Both came out extremely tough and chewy. My daughter had to spit out her bite because she got tired of chewing so we had to cut each piece into 1/2 cm pieces for it to be palatable. I've been to Brazilian steak houses before and beef ribs are usually the most tender and flavorful especially when there is bone. The server did say it was going to on the chewy side but I didn't think he was serious. Like why would you make meat intentionally chewy? For a $50 dish that came with no sides and worse than what we've made at home it's pretty disappointing. We also ordered a side of the grilled veggies which had some veggies that were so bitter and others that were undercooked and no seasoning. The purple yams were decent and the coquettes but again the pricing for each was exorbitant. Also because they have a somewhat open kitchen style concept the dining room got extremely hot and we were just dying to get out quickly. For two entrees, two sides, one app, a bottle of water and glass of wine a bill of $225 was not worth it. Sadly not a great experience.
