Worst service ever. We contacted the Hill agency as our agent no longer handles small group plans,…read moreand our previous plan was terminated. I was assigned to Christy Hill. Ms. Hill corresponded with me primarily via email. She gave us two quotes and the link to sign up via the internet. Halfway through the registration process we determined that the first plan would be a better fit than the second. I asked Ms. Hill if there was a way to change the plan selection without having to go through the registration process all over again. She told me that I had to start from the beginning - which later I found out was not the case - more work for me and none for her. Every single time that I called with a question I went through the voice mail prompts and left a message. I followed up each phone call with an email requesting that Ms Hill answer a few questions for me. After leaving a total of 6 phone messages and 4 emails I finally reached Ms. Hill. When I asked her why she had not returned my calls she first deflected by saying that I must have used the voice mail system incorrectly. When I challenged that by saying that I had pressed the # to be connected to her cell phone and left the messages on that device she said "Look, I don't feel like getting reamed today. If you don't like my service use someone else" and then HUNG UP ON ME. Never have I ever heard such an unprofessional response. Even if I had been "reaming" her, which I was not, I was calling her out on her unresponsiveness, a professional doesn't ever treat a client that rudely. Some background: I am a very vibrant 60 year old who has worked in both the service industries and customer service prior to my retirement. In the initial contact, I explained that the reason I had been terminated by my previous health care insurer because our group became too small. Although I had been reminded of this on Jan 20th, my son died on Jan 29th and I was so distraught that I forgot to replace the policy. On 3/1 my medical coverage was canceled. Knowing that I would be uninsured for a minimum of 30 days, I was in anxious everything handled in a timely manner. So even if I had been rude, which I wasn't, strong maybe, but not rude, Miss Hill treated a grieving mother like dirt. I called Blue Shield and selected another agency to take over our plan management and made a formal complaint.

Do not do business with this person / agent…read more Insurance agent Katherine Brennan 562-594-8787 is beyond unprofessional, unresponsive, and combative. Several months ago, we put in a written request to cancel an existing homeowners' insurance policy (on behalf of my elderly mother) after she sold her home in November 2024. To date, there is no action, no confirmation of cancelation, no good faith communication from Katherine Brennan. Katherine ignored follow up emails and voicemails. She doesn't answer her phone, goes dark. She will only call back if I call from a fresh phone number and just gives me lip service in a rude manner with no results afterwards. I've never encountered anyone like this before, professionally. When I did get her on the phone, I asked if she was feeling okay (because of her combativeness), and she claimed she was fine, health wise. Another past reviewer, Katie F's (2022) review is spot on with what we are experiencing. It's bizarre. We are taking next steps, will take directly to the insurance company, and then file legal complaint with both the insurance commissioner and the insurance company.

First let me point out, I never wanted to work with her, I was happy with my previous insurance company but my ex was working with Katherine so I inherited this headache. I had just had a baby and my fiancé left me. I contacted Katherine to remove me from the policy or cancel it or do whatever needed to be done so that we were no longer on the same one. Between not responding, not following up on things or following through, or when responding, constantly coming up with excuses (sometimes personal) as to why she wasn't getting anything done. Needless to say, it was absolutely frustrating and I can't emphasize enough how unprofessional this woman is. I went back and forth and back and forth for far too long trying to rectify this situation and at no point was she looking out for me and my best interest (I will spare you all the details). I still don't really know when or how exactly I was finally removed since she NEVER EVER responded to me and still hasn't to this day. At no point did she call me, or apologize, never took responsibility for anything. You should see her latest response to the google review I left her (link below). The way she responded to me just further proves how completely and utterly unprofessional she is. If her business tactic is to go dark on people, not perform services, not communicate and then go on the attack, then she has nailed it. Every insurance agent I have has been so wonderful and has made me feel like they care about me and my best interest.
