    Victoria Avery and her staff are polite and helpful …read more However Allstate is not a very good insurance company. I was burglarized two years ago and lost $40k worth of possessions . Most irreplaceable family heirlooms and jewelry. Victoria sadly informed me that the policy they wrote up for me only included up to $500 worth of possessions and then of course there is the deductible so in essence I was and am paying for insurance that doesn't cover me. They offered for me to come in and upgrade my policy to cover possessions in my home but it was too late at that point. Last month i had a leak in the wall from a pipe that cracked and leaked. It took me a week to get someone out to look at it . They did send a remediation company out and demoed the walls in the areas affected by the water leak. The remediation company ripped out the walls where they found moisture and dried out everything so i wouldn't get mold. The remediation company was very nice to work with and did a great job and thankfully this was covered under the policy. But after they ripped out two walls and two other areas where they demolished the walls and took out the bead board they only offed to reimburse me for the actual drywall footage they removed. So about $2200 so with my deductible I got $1200. The damage is such that now I really need to remove the rest of the drywall and start over rebuilding the bathroom. Including removing the sink and toilet so the contractor can repair those area and then reinstall them, when the walls are complete. I've had contractors out and the lowest bid to put my bathroom back together is $ 4300. That's amount is just replacing what was there and not upgrading . So it's really like I had a $3000 deductible. Victoria is very nice... but ... not sure I'm in good hands with Allstate. If you use them make sure you have them write up your policy for everything in detail and document your conversations . Word to the wise...I think Victoria has your best interests at heart but in an effort to save money and be competitive you may not get the policy you need or that will cover you. Make sure they detail everything.

    WOW!!! After over 15 years of service with this agent, I…read morecould no longer pay the premiums as they kept going up and up year after year even though I have zero tickets or accidents during the span of service. The real WOW in this is how ungrateful, difficult, and humiliated they leave you feeling for canceling their overpriced service. I had called them almost 1 month before I planned to end service and ask to be removed from their auto payment service. They told me sure no problem but I would have to send an email to cancel. Ok everything fine up till I give them a call back to cancel, and Jevi answers my call and right off the bat started being combative disrespectful and just being difficult with a simple request. First I was never removed from auto payment, and cancellation would require me sending an email to their boss, the top dog, with my new insurance information and reasons for cancellation. When caught off guard by all this I tried to explain that it had been over one month since my last call and I was given no direction on what needed to be done to be remove feim auto payments. Then I asked why I would need to provide new insurance information for cancellation? This made no sense to me. We get into a loud back and forth thats going nowhere so I said fine ill send the email for the auto payment removal and when I get a chance I'll send over policy of new carrier. I then spend 20-30 minutes trying to confirm receipt of email. I call back and everyone in the office says thay are not receiving my emails even though my end says sent. Finally I guess Joylyn steps in and tells them it's ok to just send an email to Jevi to cancel who finally says he's receiving my drafts, and it ends there. I waited 3 days to confirm everything had been done and it's finally over! Imagine being a loyal customer for over 15 years, probably paid somewhere between 60-70k during this time and this was the farewell they gave me. So please do yourself a favor and shop around, don't feel.like you need to support this business because in the end all they care about is ripping you off and taking your money!

ALARMED, I contacted the agency. I had the misfortune of speaking with Pamela, the Office Manager. Due to computer issues, she couldn't immediately pull my record, but she provided an overview of the statewide increase, which I understood and appreciated. However, my issue with her was how she kept trying to overtalk me and insulting my intelligence. The owner returned my call, which was appreciated, and the reason I changed my rating from one star to 2 stars.
