Love My Doodles

Love My Doodles

Seriously! I have everything wonderful to say about this breeder! I have had dogs my entire life…read more Recently our mixed breed dog passed and we were heartbroken. I did know that this time at 59 years old, I needed to know the size and temperament of our next dog. Hoping grandchildren would be in our future, along with traveling, for size. I was a dog Walker a few years back and so I knew a Golden doodle would be a great choice for us. They are bouncy, happy dogs. So the next concern is that we have cats. While looking at Dawns fb page, I saw she has her pups interact with children and also cats!! This was perfect! I contacted Dawn and left my deposit. I was going to wait 8 weeks for a light colored litter but something about this girl pup posted was calling me. She was ready to go home so we chose our girl. At 9 weeks old Kailani was already partially trained! She came home, loving our cats, crate trained, and slept through the entire night! Yes I know these dogs are smart, but let me say this and this is the MOST IMPORTANT PART of my review! This puppy didn't want to leave Dawn, the breeder!! This might sound sad to some, but to me, it meant she was so well loved and was given the utmost attention! That's so key!! She knew nothing but love! Dawn sent us home with a bag full of food, toys, and even bowls. And even a "lovey" from her litter mates. Seriously, I have a feeling we will be back for another someday. If not for us, for our daughter! Kailani has helped to heal our broken hearts but Dawn has made this the most wonderful experience bringing a puppy home stress free!

I will start by saying my doodle is the absolute perfect dog. She's an F1 mini from Elsa and Chip's…read moreOctober 2017 litter. The best temperament, no shedding, rarely barks, loyal, smart, playful and she's SO SOFT! :) The meeting to get her was a little stressful. Paid more to meet on Christmas Eve and she was a little late. We had two kids in a gas station parking lot and it wasn't fun... but once we met our puppy it was all worth it!

UF Small Animal Hospital - Thank you Dr. Narum!

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the entire team who took care of my dog, Maya. We…read morebrought her to the ER one morning for IVDD, and by the end of the next day she already had her MRI and surgery done. From the start to the moment she was discharged, it was clear how much care and attention the doctors and students gave her. I especially want to thank her doctor, Melissa Narum, who performed Maya's surgery and took such great care of her. Throughout the whole process, I received lots of updates and pictures from Dr. Narum and Sara, the student who was also part of this amazing team. They were always so helpful and thorough when answering my questions. I truly couldn't have asked for better care. Thanks to them, Maya is now at home, doing great, and recovering well to soon be running after squirrels again

I had a deeply disturbing experience with Dr. Tassala Djennadi…read more I came in asking for a sterile needle to administer subcutaneous fluids to my cat, who has late-stage kidney disease and requires daily care to stay alive. Because I had been out of town, he had already gone over 48 hours without fluids. This is not optional care..it is essential. Without asking a single follow-up question about his condition or how long he had gone without treatment, she told me she couldn't provide a needle and that he could "wait another day." When I explained that he had already missed over two days of fluids and that I was concerned, she told me that if it were a "real emergency," I would have planned better. Let that sink in: a veterinarian told me that my cat missing multiple days of medically necessary fluids was not an emergency because of my "planning." There was zero compassion, no attempt to help, no alternatives offered, and no concern for the animal. I was standing there holding his prescribed subcutaneous fluid bag with his name and information clearly labeled and even offered to provide his SOAP note, yet instead of helping, she, in an obviously mockiny and unhelpful way, suggested I could always spend $200 for needles if I were to bring my cat in for a full exam just to be entered into their system before they would sell me needles, fully aware that this wasn't possible that night. I told her plainly that my only options were to go home and attempt to reuse an old needle or have her help my cat who urgently needed fluids, and she still refused. I was ultimately turned away and left in the unacceptable position of having to consider reusing an old needle just to care for my cat.
