If you were able to hear us you would know that no one ordered the lasagna and all of us were confused by it. You would also hear me mention the shell moments after biting down on it. If you were really paying close attention to the RIGHT footage, you would see me pull something out of my mouth and place it on the dish. This should have stood out because that is the opposite direction food goes. It's disappointing to receive a confrontational response from the owner, essentially calling me a liar. When a simple apology would have sufficed, or no comment at all. I took the time to mention some very nice things in my review which you've made me instantly regret. For the record, I have zero food allergies, but I've also never eaten a shell before that day.

Meat, cheese, whatever....no, this pambazo is something special. Each one is handcrafted to order and you can tell that each of the ingredients is super fresh. I started off with their roasted Japanese sweet potato fries with the subtle curry flavor, aioli and yogurt-mint dipping sauces, and those nice crispy edges. I split Silvertongue's Chicken and the Doofwarrior with my fiancee. The fact that they had the tender, flavorful chicken and rich, complex tikka masala flavor downnnn (Silvertongue) and that dreamy roasted pork belly (Doofwarrior) has me convinced that these guys can do no wrong. The pambazos are HUGE and filled with layer after layer of tender meat and veggies. Each bite is a perfect mix of texture (crisp, chewy bun and shredded cabbage crunch), herbs, spices, and acidity. The Scrooloose taco was awesome too....tortillas made in-house from a food truck?! You can tell that these guys put care and effort into preparing the meats because it doesn't taste or look like it's made in a food truck. So good! And if the flavor-forward food isn't enough for you, they have about a dozen hot sauces that they make themselves! Since I am a bit of wimp, I did not try all of them but the blueberry habanero was my fave out of the ones I had. My review is based on the food truck. It was my son's birthday. He was allowed to chose anything he wanted for dinner. Any price point... anything. Well i had seen this on Instagram and shared it with him two weeks prior. At first he wanted to go to Nobu or there were a few other high end options, but that is not his style honestly. Luckily, he remembered the post that I shared. He wanted to go here. Well, buckle up kids, we are going on a field trip! We left work/schools early and took a drive to Compton. When our navigation said we had arrived it suggested we park in the lot across from the library. Ok. There directly in front of the library was the food truck. There was a small line, so that was ideal. Not a long wait. My other smaller human and i went to wash their hands in the library. When i came out he had ordered the hungry man or something. It was more than enough for us. The oxtail was good. The ribs were good. The chicken was good. The cornbread was yummy. Just not over the moon for the greens... and i loooove collard greens. But that's ok. We went for the meats. They were out of the dinosaur ribs, so maybe if we go early enough next time, we can try those. We took it across the street to the park and ate and that was enough time for the small one to also play to get energy out before we headed home. The drive home was long, now that rush hour traffic had started. But none of us complained, because the meal was worth it.

We were having so much fun and were looking for a dessert spot so we can continue to catch up. We found Noon Bingsu. It's in a strip mall with lots of other Korean businesses! It's well lit inside but not much in terms of decor. We got a small mango bingsoo and it was delicious! Big chucks of fresh mango, lots of mango flavored cream and the soft powdery shaved ice. There's really nothing else like it. In the famous words of Asian dessert compliment - NOT TOO SWEET! I'd love to come back again and try the injeolmi or grape flavor.
