We arrived on time, but only one other child was there, and the activity didn't start until about 15 minutes later while we waited for others. As first-time visitors, we were also a bit surprised that there was no greeting or introduction to help us get oriented. Many of the other parents seemed to already know each other and mostly kept to themselves, which made it feel a bit unwelcoming. There was limited interaction among both the parents and the children. Overall, while my daughter had a positive experience, I wouldn't personally recommend this place based on our visit.

Concepts like rhythm, gesture, proportion, and anatomy to design the figure drawing are demonstrated. And, his book, See, Feel, Trace, Draw It & Anatomy, is the perfect companion. If you can't take the class, get the book. It's a complete curriculum, with illustrated concepts that mirror the teaching from class with expanded views of each of the lessons, and examples for further study. But, if you do take the class, you'll appreciate his humor, and love of drawing that inspires his students to draw, draw, draw.

The other thing I love about this place is there's no upsell. All I did was chase my toddler around making sure she didn't ruin anything. I made nothing, didn't have time for that. So why would moms be charged the same $25 fee for watching their kid? I think they should reconsider that. Update: Just read the owners snarky reply. Not surprised as I felt that same negative energy while there.
