The…read moreinstructors are incredibly patient and skilled at breaking down complex movements--like centering and pulling walls--into manageable steps that were easy for my brain to follow. The studio has a really wonderful, creative energy that I looked forward to every week. It served as a great 'sensory reset' and a way to focus purely on the tactile experience of the clay. Particularly seeing other members body of work. My only minor wish for the future would be a bit more shelf space for student projects! As I got more into the flow of creating, I found myself wishing there was more room to store work-in-progress pieces between sessions. Each purchase of a course provides access to membership hours where you can come in practice before the classes. They provide the base tools in a black case and if you need more clay it's $25. That being said, the quality of instruction and the community more than make up for it. I'm so happy with the projects I made and I'd definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a new creative outlet! As a note there's a waiting list to become a member after completing the course. So don't hesitate!

Although I was very proud of the art I made and enjoyed the process, Renee and the women she employs would bully students into buying art supplies from their studio only. Although I value the importance of supporting local business owners, my family was not well off and my mother put us in these classes so we could do something productive while she was working extra hours to support us... When I came to the studio with supplies purchased from other retailers, I remember the instructor very intentionally broke my palette knife and said, "Well you just need to use one of ours!", which then my mother had to purchase when she picked us up from the studio... rather than the instructor offering to pay for breaking my palette knife... Renee would occasionally make appearances during lessons, but she very coldly scolded my sister and me and told us to go take lessons somewhere else if we were not going to purchase supplies at her studio. I was 9 years old at the time, and my sister 11! I was so embarrassed and hurt that I cried, and Renee showed no mercy. After that, my mother discontinued our lessons. I really did enjoy learning to paint, but it was not worth the bullying I experienced from a group of adult women.

They really nurture and just really motivate the children here. The art work that is done by students here is just fantastic. Michelle and her staff really take their time and gives attention to each student. In addition, Michelle is very quick and prompt and has wonderful communication. They are closed on Wednesdays but their class times and days are very flexible. They even offer a first time class as complimentary, the classes are 1.5 hours and 15mins prior to the class they have a showcase of all the childrens art that they completed that day and they talk about their success, this really allows the child to share what they thought was a success about their artwork. All in all I am very pleased, each student has their own work station, and each student is doing something different from water color to painting to drawing. Each student has their own unique style and Renaissance Fine Art really allows children that opportunity to give it their best. Prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the experience after the class was very disappointing due to a lack of professionalism and communication. It took a long time and multiple attempts to reach her to schedule glazing. After we completed glazing, I reached out again on December 17, 2025, to follow up about picking up our pottery. I received no response--no call, no text--until today, January 14, 2026. When she finally responded this morning, she asked whether we had even done our glazing, which was frustrating given the long delay. I attempted to call to arrange picking up my pottery, even in its unfinished state, but was told she was closing her shop and that I would need to reach back later in the evening. When I expressed my concerns about how long this process had taken and the lack of communication, I was met with dismissive comments and was even told that I was being "dramatic." This was especially upsetting, as communication was prompt at the beginning when payment was required. Due to the ongoing delays and poor communication, I no longer wish to retrieve my pottery. I am writing this review to share my experience so others are aware before booking. I also noticed another review describing similar issues, and I wish I had read it beforehand. We booked a private pottery session for our group of 11 on 9/28 and paid $75 per person. At the end…read moreof our initial pottery session, we were simply told to return after four weeks to do our glazing. There was no mention of any limit on group size or that she wouldn't be able to accommodate us again as a group. I reached out on 10/25 to schedule glazing and never received a reply. She finally responded almost a month later -- only to tell us we now need to come back in groups of just 1-4 people. This change was never communicated upfront and is completely different from the private group experience we originally booked. What's especially frustrating is that she was extremely quick to book us and take payment up front, but now that she already has the money, she won't even respond -- not to me, and not to the rest of my group who reached out separately. We're not asking for a refund; we already completed our session on 9/28. We just expected timely communication and the ability to finish our pieces the same way we started: together. The lack of communication, long delays, and sudden change in expectations made this experience disappointing and inconvenient. I hope the business becomes more transparent and responsive for future customers.

They took care of all the arrangements for us, all we had to do was show up and paint! I loved how we had the option to choose multiple images for our guests, not just one, giving everyone the chance to pick what they wanted as their souvenir/masterpiece! Also, as events go, sometimes people end up cancelling, Mary and Linh made it very easy and compensated me, with a gift card. Payment was easy and done remotely. They took pictures for us and sent over to us and posted on social media. It was great hearing all the wonderful feedback from our party and how much fun they had!
