The instructor goes over everything on screen so you can watch before you move forward with each step. I always think its going to be hard but honestly its just so fun and who cares if your cookies turn out perfect or not. Mine never do but I am always impressed with how well I actually do. I had joined her awhile back and despite having difficulties of my own, I had fun and the cookies are delicious. After the first experience I have returned on numerous other occasions and do feel I have progressed a bit with my decorating skills but all in all its about the fun. The cookies are always well themed and we enjoy eating these for several days afterward. It really doesn't matter what the end product looks like as long as you have fun creating your masterpiece. As Frank on Everybody Loves Raymond would say, the stomach knows not ugly and these are delicious no matter the result. I will definitely return again soon for more of these classes and highly recommend checking them out for something different, fun and challenging

Each course was perfect, and no detail was missed. Each guest was blown away by the amazing flavors and how they seamlessly fit with each other. Course after course of insane flavor and decadence. Chef Matt is easy to work with, very communicative, and has a well thought out plan. He provided a recommended menu, we had him add a beautiful charcuterie board to start the evening, and away he went. He was on time and finished prepping the food in our kitchen with the intoxicating aroma wafting through the house. Thank you, Chef Matt. If I could rate you 10 stars I would.

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE…read more This was one of the most interesting, fun, fulfilling experiences my husband and I have ever had. If you are even remotely thinking about booking, I would highly recommend doing so. My husband is very in to cooking/food. He's a cooking show junkie who has no professional training but loves to cook and learn. I booked Chef Matt as a Date Night activity for us. The whole "Before" process was very easy. Chef Matt sent us some sample menus. I chose the California Coastal one. I wasn't super sure about one of the options (I'm kind of a picky eater) so Chef Matt worked with me to swap out the suggested course option to make it something we would enjoy a bit more. I have to note because I was so impressed- This alternative was one of the coolest dishes we had ever had. Chef Matt asked what our favorite vegetable was. My answer was asparagus. Chef Matt prepared a dish that used asparagus 5 different ways! Talk about creative! We loved it! Any how, Chef Matt showed up the day of with everything needed to cook our 4-course meal. I wasn't sure what to expect, so set our table and had the dishwasher empty; ready to go for dishes after the meal. I was happily surprised when Chef Matt showed up with not only the items needed to cook the meal, but also his own pots/pans, cooking utensils, dishes for every course, cleaning products, and a trash bag of his own! The only things we needed were silverware, napkins, and our drinks (which I pre-planned wine pairing to each course...something I'd highly recommend doing/asking about- Chef Matt had great insight for the pairings)! Chef Matt did a little prep work and let us know we could be as involved or uninvolved as we wanted in the cooking process. We chose to be more involved. Chef Matt explained everything he was doing to prepare each dish as we watched. He explained technique, ingredients, past experiences, and shared his passion for food with us. The food from each course was unbelievable. Better than the best restaurant in town! All around the same price we would have spent going to a nice restaurant- 110% worth the value. Chef Matt is truly talented. His creativity, knowledge of the art, and passion for cooking are very well displayed through his food. I would say every course was better than the last, but honestly, each and ever course was so top-notch/delicious it was hard to pick a favorite. It was so cool to see such high quality food being prepared in our very own kitchen. By the time my husband and I finished our last course, Chef Matt already had our kitchen sparkling clean. He did not leave a single crumb, dish, or piece of trash. I cannot say enough good things about this experience or about Chef Matt. My husband and I were beyond impressed. Chef Matt is an awesome, friendly, personable guy who is beyond talented and an excellent teacher. We have so much admiration for him and his art. We will for sure be booking again!

The two hour event included us baking our own bread from scratch and cooking a complete meal. The entree was glazed Mizo Salmon with sauté vegetables and a sorbet for dessert. The reason we asked is because a shortening icing was used for the slice decorating we did a few weeks prior snd the cake was almost inedible. It tasted disgusting. Anyhow, we paid $70 each to do the class. The cake was tiny (half of it is packaged rice crispy treats and it was the disgusting waxy shortening icing out of a plastic bucket. She kept referring to it as buttercream during the whole class and it's Not made with butter at all. There is zero butter and I find this very misleading. At the end of the class we were sent home with our cakes in a large box. The cake didn't survive despite holding it on our lap. This was not worth the money and we can't even enjoy the cake. Oh the Labubu head was made out of rice crispy treat packages (the Kellogg ones) which I also thought was tacky and those taste awful. With all this said, we won't be back. Well find somewhere that uses real ingredients and not a plastic tasting cake that falls apart on the way home. Such a bummer

Kelli's Vegan Kitchen - Sushi with rice on outside made by me.

I initially found out about Kelli's Vegan Kitchen from Groupon. While recently looking at her…read morewebsite, noticed she was offering a vegan sushi class and decided to sign up. Brown rice was cooked beforehand and other ingredients were later added to give it flavor. We then placed the rice onto seaweed nori sheets, added vegetable ingredients of our choice and rolled it with a rolling mat. Was eaten with miso soup. Great group and definitely a worthwhile hands on experience. The class consisted of 5 students. There were supposed to be 6 but we had one no show. Cost for the class is $54 and they're held in various locations around Orange County. Would have been nice if white rice was also provided which I do prefer to brown rice. After the class ended, we were provided with recipes for the food we tried which added a nice touch.

My boyfriend, who is also vegan, came with me and we ended up getting an accidental private class because of some cancellations. While it probably would've been just as good with other people attending, it was really nice to meet Kelli and have her give us some more personalized tips and answer our questions. She's super easy to talk to and very friendly! We attended the Whole Foods/Plant Based class and made four recipes in about an hour and a half and then sat down to eat. The recipes were an African peanut stew, lentil Bolognese, a kale salad, and a berry crumble for dessert. Kelli explained that she uses these recipes in her other classes sometimes but, as it was the Whole Foods class, we'd be making them without oil or refined sugars. I love to eat healthy but I'm also a huge fan of some classic vegan comfort food so I gained a lot of great tips that I didn't know before! Overall I felt like this class really demonstrated to me that I don't always need to rely on a cook book or recipe. Plus, I diversified my cooking repertoire with some whole foods tips! Kelli made the recipes feel really flavorful but simple and they all consisted of affordable and easy ingredients that I'd probably already have lying around. (One tip for classes of a smaller size: we had lots of leftovers so make sure you bring some containers to take things home! We brought two but that wasn't quite enough)

It's refreshing, delicious, and perfect for sharing with friends. The desserts also come out pretty quickly. Seating inside is a bit limited when it gets busy, which is probably the only downside. The inside is decorated so cute with pandas. I stayed there with my friends until closing, and even though everything else in the plaza was already closed, the worker was nice and let us use the restroom inside the store even though it was employee only. Really reminds me of the mochi back in China and Taiwan. I honestly can't stop ordering the black sesame flavor. My second favorite is the nutty flavor too, which somehow feels both comforting and dangerously easy to finish way too fast. I also love their other desert Chewy Clouds. If I'm going to embrace the carbs, I might as well do it with the cute bear-shaped ones. They're soft, chewy, and just fun to eat. The whole place leans into that playful dessert vibe without feeling too over the top, and service was fast too.
