Great service and friendly people. We arrived around 8 Saturday morning and we both ordered a…read morecaramel latte. The coffees were made quickly and my wife loved the taste. More on my opinion on the latte in a minute. The bakery is in another room and they had a large variety of pastries that are prepared in the building. I ordered an Apple fritter, a chocolate cake donut with chocolate icing. My wife ordered a sour cream donut plus a lemon blueberry muffin. The Apple fritter was delicious with nice chunks of apple. One of the best I've ever had. So, after a bite of it, I gave my wife the caramel latte and ordered a black coffee. The sweetness of the fritter with the latte simply doesn't mix well IMO. The drink I had of the latte was really good but of course, I preferred a black coffee with the fritter. My wife loved the sour cream donut and thought it was better than our local donut shop we frequent that has her favorite sour cream donut. We saved the other two for the next day. So, no reviews for those two. This is a great local coffee shop with great products, great variety, and fantastic customer service. If you're in the KY Lake area we highly recommend this establishment.

Iced coffee's are pretty good, I add an extra shot or 2 of espresso because they can be a little light on coffee, heavy on creamer but still very good. Their bakery stands out the most to me, pastries and cakes are the best in all of the area. Staff are always super friendly and offer suggestions. We always make sure to have time to shop the gift shop side, great place to find unique little gifts.

I am a sauce-aholic but it was good enough to eat without sauce, since I didn't have an option of sauce. I don't remember my 2 sides but I don't remember any complaints. So I make a trip to the actual restaurant and there were aspects about it I didn't like. The biggest aspect was the abomination of sweet tea as they have a Gold Peak machine. What's so wrong with having fresh brewed tea? So that pretty much ruined most of the meal for me. I don't drink soda so my other choice was water and I paid $1.85 for a sweet tea I didn't drink. Before my meltdown at the Gold Peak machine, I had tried to figure out what would be a good choice besides the pork chop I recently had. There were so many choices that ranged from chicken to BBQ. I love BBQ and I'm thinking about the BBQ so I ask a gentlemen taking orders about it. He told me they sold a lot of it. Then I ask what type of sauce he has and then he tells me just to eat the damn thing...in a humorous tone but I kind of didn't appreciate it. I'm just trying to figure what is going to be good for me and well after that, he did tell me they had a vinegar base sauce which led me to pulled pork. I didn't bother asking any more questions. So how did my pulled pork turn out? It was just ok. The sauce was a vinegar base but it was sweet. My potato salad was mustard base and the best thing on my plate. The mac and cheese was not my favorite. So I would eat Country Fresh again because of the pork chop I had before and the chicken that I saw looked really good. But I would never eat in again for serving Gold Peak.
