Ok, it is a bit of a drive if you live ITP. But, it is worth every mile. Picture this, car full of…read morefamily and friends and you say, 'Hey, let's get some Hawaiian Ice from a place I've never tried before and it's 30 min away! ' After the shouts of, "Hell naw, that's too damn far", you quickly remind everyone that you are the one driving and remind them that this is not a horse and buggy trip, we are in modern days and it's a car and 30 min will fly by and they can scream at me on the way back if it's not worth it. Ok, I've won the art of persuasion match. We arrive, it's a small, but cute unassuming little spot in downtown Acworth. We park, we all place our orders with the nicest staff ever. I order the cherry blossom. It's cherry lychee hawaiian shaved ice with vanilla ice cream and mochi (soft gummy like) candies on top with condensed milk drizzled on top. Think of the fluffiest, softest snow (no hard bits of ice at all) with cherry flavor. Nothing was over the top sweet. You can taste each individual flavor. It is this crucial detail that sets this place above any Hawaiian Ice spot in Georgia. Everyone in my car said it was worth the drive and we must do it again. Trust me, my crew is not an easy crowd to please. I won all my cool points! They will never doubt my foodie wunderlust again;)

It's a nice, cool, refreshing treat that gives one the feeling they are on one of the islands. The iced coffee and the orange dreamsicle were big hits with us. The pineapple delight, not so much. One of the fun things about ice cream at this place its picking your own toppings. The young ladies are wonderful and cute as a button. They will advise you if you can't figure it out, but most folks do. What a neat place for the kiddos! 11/24

I recently tried Truett's Luau on a trip to Fayetteville. The restaurant was conveniently located…read morealmost across the street from my hotel and is easy to find for anyone visiting from out of town. I thought the theming was tastefully done and not over the top. I liked the Hawaiian style fans as well as the tiki style glassware. The building is cozy and just right for the Hawaiian atmosphere! My favorite part was the service! My server was very hospitable and helpful as I had plenty of questions. She helped me through the menu and explained all of the variations in offerings. She was attentive but I did not feel rushed. Service is definitely a standout at this location! I ordered the frosted Hawaiian and the limited time Iced berry pie latte to drink. Both were fantastic! The frosted Hawaiian was a mix of Hawaiian Punch, pineapple juice, and ice cream I believe...served in a chilled tiki glass. The iced berry pie latte while not served in a tiki glass was also wonderful. I opted not to order an appetizer but instead ordered a sampling of several of their specialty dishes. The nuggets and sweet potato fries were great same great nuggets you know and love from CFA but these were battered very well (nice and crispy). Sweet potato fries offered a nice change of pace to your usual waffle fry. The kaulua pork sandwich was a good attempt at Hawaiian food but not as good as something you would get from a specialty store. The pork should have been a bit smokier and the sauce was a bit too sweet but the slaw was very fresh! The grilled Mahi sandwich was the biggest disappointment of the evening however. It was "grilled" on a George Foreman type grill it seems and it was pretty dry. They should add a glaze or a sauce to help with this issue in my opinion. This location features both a traditional CFA with counter service and a drive thru as well as dinning room with table service. I found the table service to be a standout here and would definitely recommend giving it a try if you are ever in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised at how this location felt like a hidden resort. It was so cute down to the decor. I didn't have much of an appetite but I wouldn't mind going back to try out one of the fish sandwiches. It was also surprising that they had a drive through! I'll definitely go back to check it out more. Also the staff was really kind to us on both the restaurant and the fast food side.

Finally made it! Super sweet young lady working the wind…read more Haven't gotten to try the Snoballs yet, but the customer service has confirmed I'll be back to shop with this location. I was in the mood for a snoball late afternoon and thought I'd give this place a try. Unfortunately, when I rode by they were closed. I called and the gentleman on the other end laid the news on me that they are seasonal based on the other store models, which makes sense as the fall/cooler temps are upon us. He was very well spoken, thorough and kind. Told me that he wished they could be open but unfortunately that just wasn't the case for the business. I'll be back in February to give them a try!!!

Really convenient SnoBall shop located close to the park. Perfect for a hot Spring or Summer day…read moreafter leaving the park. Only about 4-5 parking spaces. But it wasn't crowded on the Sunday afternoon that I went. Never saw anyone waiting for a parking space. LOTS of flavors to choose from. The snoballs are large and reasonably priced. I ordered my toddler a Strawberry kiddie ball. It was huge!! So I also ordered a kiddie size Strawberry Daiquiri SnoBall. Both were delicious. Lots of syrup! Lots of ice! Toddler approved!!! There are a few picnic tables on the side of the building and a pretty large grassy area behind the building. Perfect area for kids or dogs to play. Only one large game of tic-tac-toe that looks like it has been out there for many years and survived many seasons. Toddler and Mommy Approved!
