My daughter loves her some snow ice. I don't really get it. It's just a bunch of cold flavored syrup on ice, and it tastes really bad once the syrup is gone, but she loves it. She even has a snow cone machine at the house, but when she saw this place near the restaurant we ate at, she had to have it. In fact, my boyfriend's friend also was interested. So even though she'd already had some dipping dots, she convinced me she should have some snow too. The place is bright and colorful, and I seriously had no idea there were so many different syrups in the universe. It's like ice cream flavors galore, only no cream...just ice. From cantelopeo to fuzzy navel to egg custard and tiger blood (what the heck is that flavor), you can get pretty much what you want here as far as flavor goes. They also had this offer where you can get cheesecake inside the snow ice. Now, I like cheesecake, but this combo sounds bizarre. His friend got it to try it, and he said it was terrible. My daughter got just the ice, and she said it had a vinegary-aftertaste, but otherwise was good. They package this ice very nicely, and it was super pretty, almost too pretty to eat. The prices seemed pretty fair, but all-in-all, it seemed to be a miss for all.

This was a perfectly crafted snowball. Ice is super fine, layered pour. I haven't had a snowball this good since I was home.

Perfect Day for a snow cone. Service has been great every time. Always great to talk with the local community who are getting their cones with the family.

I have been a lover of snowballs since I was a kid growing up in Baltimore. Until recently I have not been able to find a snowball outside of my hometown. During a visit to Marietta Square for the 4th of July festival it was 95 degrees outside so when I saw Snow on the Square I had to give their snowballs a try. I have never had a snowball while in New Orleans so I can't compare this place to an authentic New Orleans Snowball but I will still tell you what I thought. The little shop was nice and cool on such a hot day. The menu is on the wall to your right when you walk in. They offer ok flavors, you won't find anything that is not authentic from New Orleans according to the owner who was annoyed when I asked if they had Marshmallows. He explained that their snowballs have softer ice than other places and what I saw was exactly what I would see if I were in New Orleans. The gentleman offered to add condensed milk thinking that was similar to marshmallows, but that did not sound appetizing at all to me. I ordered the strawberry daiquiri which is my favorite flavor of snowball. My fiancé ordered his in Mango. The snowballs hit the spot but we both agreed that they were too sweet. The flavors were rich, the ice was soft but just a tad sweeter than what we like. Overall, if you are in the area and like snowballs I think you would like this place. If you are accustomed to Baltimore snowballs like me there are a few places in the Atlanta area that actually has flavors like egg custard and offers marshmallows, you just won't find it here.

A stroll through Marietta square is not complete without a taste of this refreshing treat. There aren't many places that offer condensed milk as a topping to snow cones and a large array of flavors. It's so hard to narrow down which one(s) to pick (if this is the hardest part of my day, I'm not doing that bad). Service isn't very fast, but they put a lot of detail into the presentation of the cone. It's topped with an umbrella and perfected curved on the top and smothered to the brim without overflowing - Work of art.

*Disclosure* this is THE BEST shaved ice/snow cone you will ever have! Snow on the square located in the Marietta Square, is where New Orleans meets Georgia! Their style of ice is incomparable! Be prepared to be greeted by a friendly staff serve who Authentic Louisiana style snowballs with over 55 flavors to choose from! You can also add a variety of toppings like sprinkles, whipped cream, and more you can even get it stuffed with ice cream, and of course it wouldn't be Louisiana style snowballs without condense milk! They are vegetarian and vegan friendly, if there is a star (*) on the board that means it contains milk. There are so many options to choose from that you will not be disappointed.  I was lucky enough to have met the Owner Serena Smith who also served me my cone! She is very sweet, humble, and based off the staff I can tell she makes Snow on The Square an amazing atmosphere! They are a seasonal so support your local black own businesses this summer! If you haven't stopped by Snow on the Square yet- you're missing out!!! (And temperatures are rising ) They offer about 35 different flavors of cool, ICU snow balls stacked high and full of rich, colorful flavors. You can get up to 3 flavors per snowball or get yours drenched in just your All Time Fave Flave! Prices are reasonable for the size: $3 for 8 oz, $4 for 12 oz, $5 for 16oz and $6 for 20 oz if you reeeally need to be cooled off, lol. Customer service is friendly, welcoming and quick. If you're not sure which flavor to get hey will be happy to suggest one for you. They also have tasting cups so you can taste flavors if you're still unsure, but I say live on the wild side and try em all. They're open Tuesday Thru Thursday 11-7, Friday - Saturday from 11am - 8, and Sunday 12-6p. CLOSED MONDAYS. Ice cream is good and slurpees are cool but SNOWBALLS ARE DELICIOUS. It's hot already and the swimmer season has just begun so grab your friends and family and head out to Snow on the Square. See you there!!

The cutest spot ever and the quality of syrup and ice cream is on point! Blue Bell vanilla ice cream stuffed into shaved ice is worth coming back regularly for! Tigers Blood (strawberry & coconut) has always been my go to since childhood and it didn't disappoint. Blue Punch (taste like blue Gatorade so might be blue raspberry with lemon/lime)is a gorgeous "Elsa" blue and bound to be any child's go to. Both were really good and can't wait to come back to try more flavors. Apparently they can also cheesecake into it....

Hmm, let me preface this with I'm a New Yorker and we love our Ralph's Italian ice. I knew that a Snow Ball was different then Italian ice but I just didn't care for it at all. The counter ladies are very welcoming and sweet as pie. The location is very clean. It wasn't the lemon lime/black cherry syrup I didn't like but the texture. Not my thing personally but I'm biased. Do not let me stop you from trying this place since it might be your thing just sadly not mine. However I do love the gummy bear speared right into the top. Cute touch

So I'm from New Orleans and been looking for a good snowball shop in Atlanta. I believe I found my spot!! Walking in I can smell all the flavors. The staff is very friendly. The only thing parking is hard and you have to pay. Unless street parking available.

Snow on the Square has opened three months ago-perfect for the summer in Georgia. I've heard my friends talk about this place for those three months and had no idea where it was. We finally found it. It is in front of Thaicoon and besides Cool Beans. I asked what they will do when it gets cooler, and they said they are planning on having hot, New Orleans, style food. So be in the lookout during cooler weather. The place is very simple and sweet. The two ladies at the front are so charming. Once you walk in, on the right, there is a blackboard with the list of all of the flavors. There is a small sitting bench on the left, and a table for two near the corner to the right. The walls behind the counter are lined with flavored syrup. They have a card, after the 10th cone, the next one is free. I got the watermelon 8 oz. cone. I was happy with everything about it. My boyfriend got the creamcycle. They were very generous with the amount of syrup and they packed the ice. It was very sweet - of course. Our age was showing when we both preferred just a little less syrup, but that was afterwards. And that is just us! We would come here again as a little treat! This isn't the after dinner type of place because it closes relatively early.
