The cupcakes are so tasty and not overly sweet cakes. I like just a tad more sugary cake, but my partner was delighted by the taste. My mom's one disappointment she mentioned when we got in the car to bring them home was, "Those are much smaller than they used to be." She likes a bigger cupcake than their current larger size. They offer a variety of teas and on this visit they had seasonal teas as well, which we both chose. I had a gingerbread tea that was very complex and interesting and my tea mate had plum cider and found it unusual but tasty. The three tier tea treats were composed of a variety of sandwiches, four scones, beautiful cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, and macarons. Everything was tasty and neither of us could finish it all so they gave us the cutest little take home boxes. Since we were celebrating a birthday I had also ordered a cake ahead of time to take home. The vintage heart cake was beautiful and delicious with icing that was lovely but not too sweet at all.
